petal was thrilled to find that her closest (and only) friend from home would be here with her at rosewood. she was even more thrilled that, at this extravagant party that was everything she could’ve hoped, there were carriage rides. this was just her speed. she’d always wanted to live in such a magical, high-status place. she could pretend she was a princess or someone who always lived such a life. it was something she’d dreamed of. of course she wanted to live out this fantasy as entirely as she could. she was quick to find jayden, rushing up to him in excitement. “jayden! you have to go  on the carriage rides with me. you just have to. please oh please!” she begged, pouting up at him with wide, excited eyes.
