#darkspark

This is an VERY old AU idea I had years ago, when I was like 10. I made this up when I first became interested in Transformers Animated and the Transformers fandom. Looking back, I can’t say I’m too impressed with it, but I’ve been thinking about it recently and I figured, since I’ve been getting back into Transformers, it wouldn’t hurt to share it with others and see what they thought.

What is the PureSpark and DarkSpark?

Basically, I had this idea that before the AllSpark, there was these two other Sparks, the PureSpark and DarkSpark.

The Purespark is made of pure, positive energy. It is the good of the two sparks. Basically, the equivalent of God.

The Darkspark is made of dark, negative energy. This is the bad of the two sparks. The equivalent of the Devil.

The Allspark is the neutral. It was actually created when a piece of the Purespark and Darkspark broke away and merged together, combining the two energies to create it.

The two sparks are both more powerful than the Allspark.

The two sparks also had their guardians of sorts, I forgot what I named them, but they served as mentors to certain characters that had the powers of these two sparks.

I made Optimus the Purespark champion, because I thought he deserved it, with all the crap he goes through in the show and I thought he was a sweet guy.

I made Starscream the Darkspark champion because he was so power-hungry and treacherous, and because I liked the thought.

Extra

I wrote fanfiction about this idea, but it has long since been deleted.

Basically, the story would be about Optimus training so he can learn to use his Purespark abilities and prepare to fight the Darkspark champion.

I also had something of a sideplot regarding Optimus and his family.

Basically, Optimus is an orphan who’s father is Ultra Magnus and his mother was the Purespark guardian, but none of them knew except the Purespark Guardian. Him being the son of the Purespark guardian is the reason why he managed to be chosen as the Purespark champion.
