Heâs hesitant. The goat heâd taken was definitely going to earn him some ire at some point. The big, brown stupid idiot goat that didnât seem to give a fuck one way or another. Heâd forgotten what the lizard had named him. Didnât seem to care as he decapitated the thing and placed it in the center of the room. An old, empty classroom in a school building that was abandoned. He wasnât in the city anymore. Somewhere well out of the way.
He was in the process of drawing the circle on the ground when he let out a frustrated groan. Lucifer had said something about finding another way. That Anima was... more dangerous than Pride knew.
And honestly? He didnât doubt it. But Lucifer gave him too much credit. He was missing a part of himself since the loss of his crown. He wasnât... all together. And he could feel it. Prying at the back of his mind. As if Stan were there, poking a needle into his core. Youâre not you. Youâre a shell.Â
Pride shut his eyes. And finished the circle. There was no other way. Whether or not Anima found it prudent to blow the whole damn world up wasnât his business. He could take Jasper. Go somewhere else. He was only half human. Pride could make it work.
...Somehow.
He didnât realize it, but heâd lit the candles that heâd set down around the circle, staring into the dead eyes of the goat heâd stolen.Â
At least the damn thing couldnât be âavengedâ if the world got swallowed or eaten or something.Â
Standing back up, Pride just... waited. This was it, wasnât it? All he had to do to summon whoever it was? If there was some kind of incantation, he couldnât remember it.Â
