Kris, out of a morbid sense of curiosity, had stepped into the prison room. They had known exactly what to expect, and had spent several minutes attempting to talk them self out of it. Nevertheless, they entered. 

Upon receiving that… not so welcoming welcome, Kris slowly approached, taking a seat cross legged on the ground at a safe distance from the cell. They stared at the King for a moment or two. They felt very conflicted at the choice of leaving him in a prison cell for all eternity. They did not have any authority or right to release him, but felt the least they could do was offer some company. 

They pulled out a notebook and pencil. They were glad that they had carried it over into this world. Silently, They wrote down in the notebook: two words.

“I’m sorry.”

Then held the book out so the former King could read it.

[* Oh? This was surprising.] [* A welcome surprise, certainly, but a surprise nonetheless.] [* This King was free, yet remained in the prison walls, claiming to have escaped...]

* Hm.

* FANTASTIC. SIMPLY EXQUISITE. SIMPLY EXCITING! * A KING WHO IS FREE WOULD SURELY LIBERATE HIS SUBJECTS, NO?

[* JEVIL has a feeling he missed something while outside.] [* He also has a feeling that acting like nothing happened would be fun.]

           The curio collector looked up with a knowing smile as the King approached, as if he had been expecting him for a long time. He nodded his head low as if in the facsimile of a bow before his monarch, and failed to rise from his seat.
