An awesome documentary for the UK larp scene, on Dark Tempus, one of my favourite new games. Bonus points for the In Character documentary, the camera crew and film team were excellent at roleplaying through, and really added to the game.

I packed very light for the event - tripod, softbox, two strobes, one body, two lenses, triggers. Set up basically everything (tripod makes a decent lighting stand for a softbox) in a corner of the bar, with a cloth someone had just left hanging there, and shot some really cramped portraits in between zombie attacks.
Post-apoc larp is a bit of a thing right now. Now it has some poster children...

Releases
Today I realised that the weekend was over and I have four releases to get out in two days. Our ex writer never released the rules updates for the game, so we spent the weekend panicking over that, got it finished (along with 'fixing' the Character Creation document) and are now just waiting for it to be beautified so that the general public are able to view it. I got a message from the documentary team who are following us with a link to a taster video for their film, entitled "The Bells Of Newtown: A Film About L.A.R.P, and immediately fell in love with it. They'd like to release that on Wednesday - which by my calculations is tomorrow. I also hurriedly put together a document on the World Background that apparently had been promised to players by Wednesday, so it's all a-go in the DT office right now. And by office I mean my living room, as we currently don't have Internet access in the unit. Now I'm just waiting on the team getting back to me to let me know what they think we should release today, whether we should hazard releasing the basic documents without the art and update them to look snazzy as and when, or if we should just wait...
Hello!
I'll tell you right now that I'm socially awkward enough to have Googled 'how to write a first blog post' before typing this. Also, I'm notorious for starting blogs and fucking them off growing bored of them quite quickly. Also, I resent that Tumblr no longer has Tumblarity. Who Am I? No, seriously. I'm pretty much the keyboard monkey at Dark Tempus LARP, and by proxy that means Pocket Universe Productions. LARP stands for Live Action Role Play, for those of you who don't know, and it's a little bit bloody time consuming. This is pretty much what we do all day;
Why Am I Blogging? I often see someone else's Tumblr and get jealous that I don't use any of mine any more. I tend to think that I have the attention span to actually devote time to a blog. I am wrong in this. I have neither the attention nor the time to do things like this. This is a perfect example of me procrastinating. I'm supposed to be correlating player backgrounds and replying to e-mails right now! I'll make the same promise I do every time I set up a new blog; this time it'll be different. I'll spend an hour a night week working on things to go out on this blog. I'll even reblog things that make me smile. I promise to attempt to make an effort this time.
I'm sure there where about eight other points I was supposed to follow, but I closed the window on that handy 'how to blog' website that I found. Ah well, Thug Life. That'll do for now. I might make another post at some point today/tomorrow/this week.
