Unlike canon homestuck, there is no Davesprite for Dark because of a multitude of factors.

For starts, Prince VS Knight powers are pretty different inherently. Dave goes back to protect time. Dark stays put and destroys it.

Because of this, the doomed timeline kills itself entirely, as opposed to a single survivor.

DARK STRIDER & DIVE STRIDER

Dark Strider, Prince of Time, 13, He/It + Ask pronouns, Starkind (throwing star), trivialGore

Calling him a ticking time bomb is an understatement. Dark has overt DID, and 10 alters (11 once the game starts). He has terrible gaps in his memory and cannot place why. Nobody but his Bro knows exactly what’s up and how to exploit it. Due to this, it is usually nonverbal and does as its Bro says, rarely having varying opinions. Saw, puppets, snuff, freaky mind games, shitty anime. Runs an ironic music review website that’s trippy as all hell. Builds robots to get destroyed for Bro’s puppet snuff films (Hesitantly- it likes his own creations).

Dive Strider, Knight of Heart, 16, He/She/Fim, Shotkind (primarily harpoons and fireworks), twilightTrench

Isolated from the world and left with nothing but shadows of people who once were, Dive is in fis head almost all the time. She has MADD and primarily lives in a haze, dreaming of a world where he could have met his successor and doodling them out in spare time. He keeps the Con Air rabbit close as a comfort item. Fe is very genuine and heartfelt, often not understanding sarcasm. Enjoys classic comedy films and uses shitty puns. Hates actual sleeping and has nightmares every time about puppets and glassy eyes.

I know this probably isn’t actually what Josh has in mind for the character every time he transforms into him but I like to think the dark circles around his eyes signify how unrestrained he is becoming.

Allow me to explain.

The first few transformations, save for the fact that he’s clearly angrier, aren’t much different from Josh’s regular form itself. He still uses his lightsaber to fight, his voice is normal, he doesn’t seem to have any special powers apart from his appearance changing, and even his posture is straighter. During this time the circles around his eyes seem more even and in a defined shape.

Now as he transforms more and more, we’re noticing new changes. When I first noticed the dark circles in his eyes changing shape was when he ditched his lightsaber and took a more animalistic approach to tearing his enemies apart and finally saw some of his powers. Since then every time we see the dark circles under his eyes change there’s something that has changed about Dark Strider. He seems angrier, his posture is more hunched, even his voice is beginning to change and become more distorted.

In short, every time Josh turns into Dark Strider, the dark circles around his eyes are spreading more around his face, as if the power is slowly growing in him and he’s becoming darker.
