Types of Yandere: TOH Edition
Emperor Belos/Philip Wittebane: Manipulative.
Whether he's known as Philip Wittebane or Emperor Belos, he will always use the most powerful tool in his arsenal against his Beloved. A silver tongue. He is an extremely dangerous mix of charm, intelligence, and patience, as well as a master linguist, able to play the long con without issue. Belos/Philip could tell you the sky was green and after a while, you'd believe it. He makes His Beloved see things his way and it's enough to keep them away from his rivals and in his welcoming arms. Belos/Philip is able to explain away almost anything so good luck getting his Beloved to turn against him. He uses all the tactics that a master manipulator would in order to keep his Beloved close and his. Only his. If he doesn't like you, His Beloved will be notified of something you may or may not have done and they'll believe him over you. He's given them no reason not to. His Beloved will do the severing of any and all ties for him and he'd barely have to lift a finger. He is sure to have the red string of fate wrapped around his hand and tied tightly around his Beloved's throat with a simple murmur in their ear. As long as his Beloved returns his affection, fears angering him, and does exactly what he says, he's their slave.
Adrian: Isolating.
Adrian Graye is extremely possessive. He doesn't want anyone else around his Beloved, or at least anyone real. He'll resort to creating various illusions to make it seem like they're not alone when he's off to work. Scarily enough, his Beloved will never know the difference. He will have a replica of the town filled with nothing but illusions to keep them company. He wants his Beloved in the palm of his hand. What's this? You want to speak to his precious treasure? Well, you better have some amazing survival skills because you're going to have to solve an incredibly difficult labyrinth in order to even see them, let alone talk to them. And it's an actual labyrinth with his Beloved at the center like a guarded princess, (newsflash, there is no direct way through. All of the paths are blocked). It is filled with traps and Adrian's bloodthirsty pets. You have to figure out what is real and what is an illusion. Guessing wrong will result in death. It'll entertain him to say the least. If you somehow get through (most likely by having to cheat), well... hope you can survive your worst nightmare... on repeat. He's a hopeless romantic so he sees absolutely nothing wrong with what he's doing. All he needs is his Beloved and they only need him.
Darius: Eliminating.
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I'M CAPABLE OF?!" It's all talk. Well, eight out of ten times it is. Those eight times when he "eliminates" his romantic rivals, he puts on a big show and gets them to back off. Very rarely has he ever needed to get violent with someone with eyes on his Beloved because of his intimidation factor. A flash of his sharp Abomination scythe usually does the trick. Darius is very aware of what he is and tries hard to suppress it by resorting to intimidation tactics instead of giving into homicidal urges. He's deathly afraid of scaring his Beloved off, though he can't exactly help it if he does get rough with someone who refuses to back down. The remaining two tend to be very messy and completely unhinged. He makes it very clear who his Beloved is with to everyone around him. Darius will always keep his Beloved close when out and about and relies on either heavy PDA or an arm around their waist to get the message across. He often complains about Beloved's friends but won't dare step between them as long as they're good to them. If they're not, someone's getting a visit by a very homicidal Coven Head who is trying his damnedest not to paint the wall with his Beloved's friend's blood.
Hieronymus Bump: Submissive.
It shone brighter in his earlier years, but don't let that fool you. It's still there, just not on the surface. He's an absolute sweetheart and would do anything to get his Beloved to notice him and then to keep them. He means ANYTHING. His Beloved pines for a rare item? He will find it, even if it means scouring the Boiling Isles for it. There is no "try" when it comes to them. He will do it. You want a dark deed done in your name? He's got the dagger and a steady hand ready to strike upon your mark. Even if the target is a student... Don't test him, he'll do it. He'll bawl his eyes out while getting the kid to the Healing Coven as fast as he could, but he'll do it. Thankfully his Beloved would never harm a child. It's what made him fall for them to begin with. He's clingy as hell. He can get a bit clingy at times, wanting to keep around his Beloved, and is extremely protective of them. He's there every time they turn around. Is there anything he can get them? Tea? A book? The souls of the innocent? When he says anything, he means it. He worships his Beloved to no end.
