TFP: Ratchet was bonded once before the war broke out, one of a polycule of four. (I hc that polyamory is just Normal in Cybertronian relationships, or rather it's just not seen any differently to two-person relationships) Ratchet's bondmates were all engineers and actually he was originally an engineer who retrained as a doctor, which he was able to do essentially because his bondmates paid for it. (They took on his creation debt, which is something I'll explain later.)

Ah, coffee shop AUs... It's not a bad trope, but I never really understood the appeal. Maybe because I don't really drink coffee?

I sat for half an hour thinking, and I can't come up with a way to make it ~tragic~, so here's a horrory and/or funny one.

Coffee shop AU where the owner/baristas are very emphatically not human. They hide in plain sight, but if you pay attention nothing about the shop or the coffee is normal. You brush it off as it being your imagination; the lights flicker oddly and the coffee is too sour, but maybe it's just a very shitty coffee shop. The price is convenient, at least.

ooOoOoooH Charles would not be amused - he reacts with lots of anger, which beej immediately interprets as charles being mad at him. so lots of misunderstandings, because charles is just bad at communicating what he feels.
