I love this Gryffindor-Slytherin dynamic. Harry is a celebrity, and I think few girls could handle his fame and temperament.
On the other hand, it's almost a fandom consensus that in fanfics, Daphne Greengrass is portrayed as a hot blonde and ice queen who doesn't let herself be swayed by pureblood prejudices. Despite being friends with Pansy Parkinson, she's a good Slytherin.
I think they work well together, and I think Harry likes pretty girls with personality.
Another thing I love is that it's generally agreed that Astoria and Daphne are very close sisters. This makes it even more hilarious to see Harry and Draco forced to live together, since their loved ones are so close.
