the thing about cas stealing the colt from under deans pillow is like obviously we all know that cas knew it was there because of the gay sex of it all. but also i can totally see them just hanging out in deans room sitting on his bed watching a western or something and dean voluntarily (completed unprompted) whips the colt out to like show off and impress cas. not just with the weapon itself but also maybe showing cas how dean killed yellow eyes with it or like. reenacting a famous cowboy showdown

nobody asked but here are my ideal tfw au!jobs: dean is a paramedic who dreams of one day opening his own family style pizzeria. he has a whole set up in his kitchen so he can experiment with unheard of and frankly horrific topping combinations that he forces his loved ones to try because he’s convinced one day he’ll find that Special One. sam completed law school but only got two weeks into an internship before he went crazy from boredom smashed up his computer chewed his boss out and quit. now he works at a themed bookstore (horror, true crime, and murder mystery) and spends all his free time laptopping it up and trying to write the next great american novel. his guilty pleasure is working on writing a book about uncaught serial killers. cas goes… somewhere? between nine and five. occasional overtime. but no one actually knows what he does. if you were to ask his loved ones they would all give you different answers. if you were to ask cas he would say don’t worry about it and you would say ok!

i think dean and cas are each others best men. i think cas doesn’t quite understand the concept the very first time he hears about it and goes. well. dean is the best man i know. and sam goes no that’s not what it means it means like a best friend. and cas goes. dean is my best friend. and sam keeps trying to explain it to him and even though cas gets it now he just keeps doubling down.
