@cocosy it’s more along the lines a rich pampered jerk pretends to know what it’s like to struggle as a normal person and refused to stand for the national anthem ( to the country that gives him the freedom to be a millionaire) to spark controversy or something like that cause he sucks and needed the publicity. Either way people in this country have so much freedom they wouldn’t know oppression if it punched them in the face!

I think there are people out there who’ve come to know oppression when it shot their children in the back.

And I think the fact that millionaires who have been blessed by God not only with incredible wealth but also with incredible empathy and perception are far too few in this country, and that Colin Kaepernick is one of those sole exceptions. He’s a man doing the Lord’s work, bringing attention to the plight of the helpless and persecuted, and though Pharisees and naysayers such as yourself may sit back upon their luxuries and salute their idols of stars and stripes without ever once considering where payment comes from, I take comfort in the knowledge that comments such as yours are few and far between enough that I only need to respond to such mediocrity once every one thousand notes. Rest secure in your ignorance, but when the time comes for your eyes to be opened, remember that heroes like Kaepernick tried to warn you and you laughed.

May God grant you wisdom and acumen, but most of all, may He grant you empathy.

Why would that scare him? He is a dick who steals from and assaults children. He has no moral code!

( Not sure it you're being serious or not? I'll start by saying that while I respect your opinion, I have to politely disagree with you on that. I don't think he's simply a dick with no moral code. I think he made some mistakes and I severely question his logic during his time working for/with Lusamine and as the leader of a team that literally steals pokemon from children. He’s not without flaws, for sure and to say that he was in the right for doing the things he did would be absurd. As stated on my basics/rules page, I believe he should be held accountable for his actions.

In fact, I think it’s very important to be critical of the media we consume and the characters we enjoy and Guzma is no exception to that, definitely. But to say that he has no moral code is going a bit far, don’t you think? He also stated in the game that being possessed by Nihilego was terrifying. "It was like I became somebody else, and I finally felt what fear feels like! It was terrifying!" so his fear of Nihilego is not just something I made up for this blog. It’s literally canon material. He also states  “I've never been scared of nothing or nobody, but...” "That lady...she's on another level! She's way far gone! She lost her mind over these Ultra Beasts. There's no talking to her, no reasoning with her... She's just gone..." which I take to be a pretty strong indication that he was afraid of her, too.

Continuing from there, whether or not someone has a moral code has nothing to do with what they are or aren’t afraid of. It may just be speculation on my part, but I thought it was pretty obvious that Guzma was genuinely scared. He tried to cover it up, sure, but he straight-up admitted to it.

I also don’t think he ever actually assaulted anyone? Unless you’re talking about the manga, in which case you have a strong point, but I don’t really base this blog on the manga. I base it on the game and some personal headcanons. I also recall a grunt with some dialog about him wrecking the mansion and sitting in his chair reveals that he beat on the chair, but is there anything to suggest that he actually hurt or assaulted the grunts? I don’t think he was very good to them, but I wouldn’t have much reason to assume he straight-up beat on them for crying out loud? If there is, someone please let me know.
