A little present before the weekend…

I saw a link to this on CNN today and had to share it. Daniel O’Malley has one of the “hot reads” for January. His novel, The Rook  is about a woman who wakes up in a London park surrounded by corpses. Unfortunately for her, she has a bad case of amnesia. You know I love a good book about memory loss. Of course all she finds is a letter in her coat pocket from her former self warning her that she is in danger. She finds out she is a member of some super secret organization which is responsible for guarding the UK against mythical creatures.

Sounds a little crazy but the right kind of crazy. The best part is that the first FOUR chapters are available online! I haven’t read it yet, but I am very excited to see if I like it. I love when authors do this- there really isn’t any better PR for your book. Have a good weekend everyone!
