MUSIC! DANCING! MUSIC! More often than not the days he has spare he takes you to music festivals, clubs and sometimes just the two of you in the garden with the music and food being made. He creates playlists; ones that remind him of you and your relationship - ones he will listen to on lonely nights and long travelling days.
Daniel does enjoy lazy mornings though, especially after a hectic day and usually you are already asleep by the time he has returned home. You will usually wake up with his arms wrapped around you; an embrace you struggle and mostly fail to ever escape from. He will whine after all when you try to remove yourself from him. Danny hides in your neck and tightens his hold; usually pretending to be asleep.
He’s private about your relationship, even when he was in his era of blogging throughout his day and career. You do sometimes go to his matches when you can and by the end of the evening; you are usually wearing his hoodie. There will be grainy pictures flooding social media that evening.
Danny adores trash tv and will rest his head in your lap whilst your fingers brush through his locks. He will know more than you about the characters and storylines on the show as he speaks around his favourite popcorn. More often than not, you are watching him rather than the show.
NSFW
Missionary position is one of his favourites; he has such a staring problem that has you blushing on many occasions, and this is one of them even when he’s buried deep inside you. When you try to hide in his neck as your climax moves in; Danny will force you to look at him. Watching your reactions always pushes him closer to the edge.
Danny enjoys slow, sloppy kisses. He can have you on his lap and nearly cream his pants as the kiss only deepens. The moans that escape him are noises you’d expect from a virgin, but oh how he melts into this act. His hands grope you with growing hunger as time passes.
Hot tub sex ! When the rare occasions arise for a holiday, it's sometimes a nice cabin in the woods with a heated hot tub outside. You are both completely bare; you having stripped off and waiting for him with those fuck me eyes on. The speed in which he gets his own clothes off should be a record.
Sometimes quickies are just needed, especially with his hectic schedule and Danny enjoys taking you in a small closet at work more than he’d ever admit to. He takes you from behind; his own sweat pants just pulled down enough for his cock to be free and anyone that enters will have a nice view of his pretty ass.

General Masterlist | AEW Masterlist | Daniel Garcia Masterlist
Characters: Daniel Garcia, Reader
Prompt: Day Three: Love at first sight by @fluffuary
Plot: Reader is new to AEW, working backstage, the first time she bumps into Daniel Garcia she immediately falls in love. Same goes for Daniel.
The first day backstage is already hectic for Y/N. After getting introduced briefly to all her coworkers, she runs around doing some errands from bringing things to the wrestlers, to helping set up some equipment for the interviews.
Y/N walks around a corner, looking at her check list, so focused that she doesn't realise someone is walking towards her. They end up bumping into each other and she falls backwards on her butt, whining for a second at the pain.
"Ah, I'm sorry, let me help... You..." Daniel looks down and holds a hand out to her. She looks stunning and he blushes for a moment.
"I-I am at fault here, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." Y/N takes his hand, finally looking up at the wrestler in front of her. It feels like a lightning strikes her, as she stands up.
"I am Daniel Garcia, you are the new worker, right?" He asks without stopping to look at her, curious to know more about her. Is that how love at first sight feels like?
"Ah... Yes, I am Y/N. It's nice to meet you." She blushes even harder the moment she realises she is still holding his hand.
"Do you want to go out with me after the show?" Daniel really wants to get to know her more, it is strange.
"I-I..." She takes a deep breath, nodding. "Yes, I would love to!"
Danny takes her notepad and pen, writing something on it. "This is my phone number, I have to go now, but we can meet at catering right after the show."
"Ah, yes, of course! T-thanks and good luck with your match." She smiles at him and watches as he walks away. Her heart beats fast in her chest, she looks another time at his number, smiling and goes on with her work.
As he stared at your texts, Daniel didn’t know what to do from here. He couldn’t stop thinking about you, no matter how hard he tried to get out of his head, his thoughts kept running back to the way you smile at him when you greet him, the time you’d given him a kiss on the cheek after he won his match against Lee, the lingering hugs you gave him when you saw him every week. It was becoming a problem, one that Daniel hadn’t foreseen happening.
Daniel didn’t need problems. He was busy enough, wrestling many times a week, he didn’t have time to think about you, or what you were doing. And yet you stubbornly refused to leave his mind, the star of many of his daydreams and it was getting annoying. You texted him a lot, and Daniel wanted to seem more laid back, take longer to respond to you, but he often found himself replying to you almost instantly. He liked talking to you, he just didn’t understand the way it tugged on his heartstrings whenever you messaged him.
During Dynamite, Daniel tried to hide from you, tried to avoid you since he couldn’t figure out what exactly was going on in his head, and in his heart, and why he was feeling so drawn to you. But the second he saw you chatting with Rebel, Jamie, and Britt, he found himself calling you over with a smile on his face. And he internally cursed at himself, but as you approached him, his cheeks turned pink and he couldn’t even help it.
“Hey!” You greeted him with a grin, throwing your arms around his waist. Daniel’s arms came around your shoulders as you pressed your head against his chest, your way of hiding the smile on your face. Daniel could feel his heart racing when you pulled back, friendly smile still coating your face.
“It’s good to see you,” he said with a smile, instantly regretting it, wishing he could’ve kept it to himself.
You blushed, “Aww, are you finally admitting you like my company?”
Daniel rolled his eyes as you poked his side, “It could be worse.”
“Wow, well thank you for tolerating me, Death!”
“Are you going out after the show tonight?” He found himself asking. He didn’t know why did, he didn’t care, he shouldn’t care!
“Yeah! Are you?”
He played it off with a shrug, “Maybe.”
“Maybe,” you mocked his deep tone, “C’mon am I gonna have to put up with everyone all by myself?”
“Am I gonna have to put up with everyone else just to please you?”
“You’re coming tonight, Garcia. I hope I’m worth it!”
And it just slipped out, “You always are.”
At first he regretted it, seeing the shocked look on your face, but the second he saw the way your eyes lit up, his worries had faded. You grinned at him, leaning up to give him a kiss on the cheek. Daniel groaned, pretending to be annoyed by it, but you could tell he was blushing, and biting his lip to hide his smile.
“You’re secretly the sweetest, Daniel. I’ll see you later tonight, yeah?”
“Yeah,” he choked out, and you smiled at him once more before leaving to get ready for your match.
And you saw him later that night, a lot of the AEW roster was hanging out together, but you chose to stick near Daniel until eventually your social meter ran out, and you asked him if he wanted to head back to the hotel with you. You noticed the way he blushed when you said that, but you chose not to say anything about it.
Daniel was a gentleman, walking you right to your door, and you thanked him with a hug and a smile. You loved hugging him, the way his arms came around you like he didn’t want to let go. You were slowly getting Daniel to open up to you, which had been your goal since you met him. You’ve had quite the crush on him, and finally it felt like you were getting somewhere.
As you pulled away, you whispered “Goodnight” to him, taking a step back. As you turned to enter your hotel room, Daniel grabbed your arm, forcing you to face him. His other hand cupped your cheek, bringing you towards him as he leaned down to kiss you. You felt your heart race as you kissed him back, moving your hands to his sides to pull his body right against yours. You just about melted into him, the fire behind his kiss had you wanting more, and you had to ball your fists to stop yourself. He pulled away slowly, reluctantly letting go of you. You couldn’t hide the smile on your face, wide as he mirrored your expression.
Grabbing his hand, you pulled him towards you again, and he smirked as you leaned in to kiss him. Daniel kissed you back eagerly, hands moving to your hips. You wanted so much more, your hips moving against his thigh, making you whimper at the friction. Daniel groaned into the kiss, hands tightening on your hips as he helped you move on him. He let out a strained moan as he pulled away again, taking a step back, hoping you wouldn’t look down at his jeans and notice the effect you had on him.
“Goodnight,” he said with a smile, and you wondered how you were supposed to recover from that.
As Daniel walked back to his hotel room, the bliss he felt from kissing you soon faded into frustration and regret. He didn’t have time to go around kissing people, he didn’t have time to get himself wrapped up into you, but damn if you didn’t have a hold on him. He groaned as he entered his hotel room, immediately collapsing onto the bed.
“Why did I just do that?” He asked himself, mistaking the butterflies in his stomach for pain. He wanted to, he really did want to, but he needed to be focus on his career, not on you. He could feel his phone buzzing in his pocket and he sighed heavily before reaching to check it.
You: we should do that again sometime :)
Daniel smiled, his fingers reacting before the rest of his brain did, and he typed out “Nothing would make me happier” in response. As he was about to send it, he panicked, pressing on settings and promptly blocking you.
“AEW Championship would make me happier,” he said to remind himself, “Stay focused.”
When you didn’t receive a response, you assumed he just passed out early to bed, not thinking much of it. But on Thursday morning, he still hadn’t replied to you, and it was started to make you frown. Was he ignoring you? Or was he just not checking his phone? You knew he was flying home, so maybe he was preoccupied with traveling. Too nervous to double text him, you decided you’d let him reply whenever he was ready. You didn’t want to push it.
When he didn’t respond all day, you laid in your bed at night, pouting, wondering what had gone wrong. You’re honest with your feelings, and not scared of communicating, so you called him, wanting to talk about it. When the call didn’t even rang, you realized you’d been blocked.
Oh.
Your frown was deep as you opened up Twitter, only to find out that you were blocked on there too. You scoffed when you opened up Instagram, and you were blocked from his account.
What had you done wrong?
He was the one who kissed you, and judging by the way his whole face lit up afterwards, he must’ve enjoyed it. If he didn’t enjoy it, he could’ve at least told you that, instead of blocking you on everything. You’d been friends for a few months now, surely a conversation about it would’ve been enough. Maybe he didn’t like you the way you thought, but why would he bother kissing you if he didn’t?
It was hard to process, the mixed signals were driving you insane and you couldn’t stop thinking about what could’ve caused him to block you. It’s not like you were flirty with anyone else, so he couldn’t have been jealous. So why block you? If you were his friend at the very least, why would he block you on everything? Admittedly, it eats away at you. You don’t understand why Daniel suddenly had no desire to talk to you after kissing you.
Daniel misses you during the week, unable to stop thinking about kissing you, and the sweet look you gave him after he pulled away. Blocking you was supposed to give him a sense of clarity, let him focus on training and getting better in the ring, but he couldn’t get you out of his head. He wondered what you were doing, if you’d noticed that you were blocked, if you were thinking about him the way he thought of you…
He felt kind of stupid, but he didn’t unblock you, knowing he had to stay concentrated on his career. You were simply too much of a distraction. A very pretty, ridiculously tempting distraction, and he could not indulge without feeling guilty. But also, he felt really guilty for blocking you too, it wasn’t your fault that he kissed you, and it was clear that you both enjoyed it.
The next week at Dynamite, you were livid, intent on finding Daniel to yell at him. How dare he lead you on one minute and block you the next? How dare he kiss you, make you feel like you’re on the top of the world, and then drop you like you’re nothing? You scoured the halls, trying to find him, but every time you caught a glance at him, he immediately went the opposite direction. Coward.
He couldn’t avoid the fact you might’ve been waiting for him after his match. He knew you weren’t dumb, there’s only one way back to the locker room, so he convinced his dads to help him out. And there you were, waiting for him after they’d won their match, your arms crossed over your chest, a deep scowl on your face. You still looked pretty, even though you were scowling, and Daniel was annoyed at his own thoughts.
“Nothing to see here!” Matt yelled.
“Yeah, move along!” Jeff added.
And as you hopelessly tried to argue with Matt and Jeff, they physically blocked you as Daniel practically ran to the locker room to get changed. You huffed in annoyance when they still didn’t stop harassing you, and it was clear that Daniel hadn’t told them the story.
“Leave our son alone! He doesn’t need his heart broken by you!” Matt yelled at you.
“Then why did he break mine?” You snapped, unable to stop yourself from frowning, “Why would he kiss me if he wasn’t interested? Now I’m blocked and he won’t talk to me.” And they were both silent for a few seconds, and you felt you should apologize, “It’s not your problem, I’m sorry.”
“Room 354. Don’t tell him I told you,” Jeff said. And now you at least had a hotel room. You thanked him, while Matt started to argue with him.
When you got back to the hotel, you weren’t even on the same floor as Daniel. At first, it sunk in, he wanted nothing to do with you anymore, so you just needed to leave him alone. But dammit, you couldn’t get the whole situation out of your mind, and you were so much more hurt than you wanted to admit. You were really falling for Daniel, so for him to just… cut you out like that? So unfair.
Daniel heard the knocks on his door, and he just assumed it was Matt or Jeff, so he forced a smile as he opened the door. His jaw dropped when he saw you in front of him, dried tear-stains down your cheeks. His heart broke to see you so upset, and he just wanted to fight the jerk who hurt you, but he knew he was the one who was guilty.
“Just tell me what I did wrong so I can fix it,” you choked out. Hours ago, you were almost willing to fight him, yell at him, call him a jerk, but honestly? You just missed him. You missed him and his company so much and it was killing you.
“Come in,” he said softly, stepping aside so you could enter his hotel room.
“You know, if kissing me was so terrible for you, you could’ve just said that? Instead of blocking me on everything? If you just wanted to be friends I’d understand. All you had to do was say that. And yeah, maybe I’d be a little hurt, but it’s still better than completely cutting me out, and running away from me. What did I do that was so terrible for you?”
Daniel sighed, tilting his head down, “You’re gonna think I’m an idiot.”
“I already do think that.”
“Kay, well, you’re gonna think I’m even more of an idiot. You didn’t do anything wrong, and kissing you was definitely not terrible for me. I panicked, alright? I need to focus on my career, and I can’t do that when you smile at me like that, when you’re hugging me at shows, when you look that damn pretty even when you’re crying… I promised myself I wouldn’t have any distractions. I really like you, a lot, and it scares me. I know I shouldn’t have kissed you, and I’m sorry, I just… I don’t understand the things you’re doing to my heart.”
You looked down, “I wouldn’t be a distraction to you. Look, we both want the same things, right? To be at the top of AEW, to work our asses off and win titles. So, if you really do have feelings for me, why wouldn’t we work together on it? I take my work seriously, Daniel, but that doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to be happy either. Hell, we could train together, I don’t want to be in your way. But if that’s how you feel, then I get it. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends.”
“I can’t just be friends with you,” he said, making your frown deepen, “Not when I can’t stop thinking about grabbing you and kissing you. I’m really sorry I hurt your feelings, I was scared because I realized how I really felt about you, and I shouldn’t have blocked you like that. I probably don’t deserve another chance, but, I like the idea of us working together towards our goals, and I want to be able to take you out on dates and kiss you and hold you… so, could I please have another chance?”
You couldn’t hide the smile, “You are so lucky you’re so cute, Death. One more chance.”
“I won’t mess this up,” he said, his hand reaching up to cup your chin. He wiped your tears away gently, before leaning in to kiss you once more.
Summary: after an off screen disagreement Daniel goes MIA and it brings you some revelations
Note: technically this is a mob au but I only mention it once or so. I wrote this on the app so no spell check was run through this sorry for any mistakes.
You lost the count on the many times Daniel came to you to lick his wounds. He had a habit of getting into bloody messes and even when he won most of them, he still sought out your comfort.
Even though he was a grown man in the mob he wanted your support. He knew he could count on you when times got rough.
So where was he tonight?
"Angelo, I haven't seen him," you told the tired man standing in front of you at the bar. "He hasn't come in since last night, when I kicked him out for fighting with one of our customers," you explained to the man who Daniel considered almost a father.
Angelo sighed and nodded his head as he took out his phone to shoot a quick text to his partner who was also looking for Danny an hour ago.
"What's going on?"
"Nothing," Angelo shook his head. He didn't want to worry you.
"Angelo," you insisted. "Did something happen to Danny?"
He stared at you for a second then gave you a soft smile. "I'm sure he's fine but we kind of worry about him anyway. He's got a lot on his plate lately. That's why I thought he came to you."
"No, he hasn't." You anxiously played with the rag in your hands. "I kind of told him off the other day so he might be a little pissed at me."
It really wasn't a big deal. Some asshole customer was being rude and you were handling it yourself. But as always Daniel had to step in all macho-like and protect his "girl" when you could take care of it just fine.
You pushed him into the back of the bar to the outside alley and gave him a piece of your mind. That was the last time you saw him and you were feeling guilty since then. Especially now that he was missing.
Daniel wouldn't just leave without telling Angelo or Daddy Magic where he was going. Something must have happened to him and you wouldn't live with yourself if he was hurt somewhere or worse, dead.
"Let me know if you hear about him, okay?" Angelo brought you out of your thoughts by placing a hand on your arm. "It's not safe for him to be out and about by himself."
"Yeah," you nodded. "I will."
You took a break then and went to the back to call Danny. Maybe he'd answer your call and even if he told you to fuck off then at least you'd know he's safe. But Daniel didn't answer so you left him a message.
"Hey Danny, I guess you're still mad at me, but at least call back your Angelo and Matt. They've been looking for you and are worried. I'm kind of worried too, so at least let us know you're okay..I-um, bye."
With that you went back to work but checked your phone all night waiting for a response from Daniel. But nothing came through.
When you came back to your apartment at 3am you were dead tired. You moved through your small apartment throwing your hoodie on the stool by the kitchen and leaving your purse on the table as you pulled off the band off your hair, letting it loose and going to your sofa to crash.
Suddenly you heard a grunt and you flew off the couch. Grabbing one of the knick knacks you had around you aimed it at whoever was inside your home and screamed for them to get out.
"It's me!" You heard as the lamp turned on and you saw Daniel holding his arm out to stop you from throwing more things at him.
"What are you doing here?" You screamed. The man almost gave you a heart attack.
Daniel's expression turned sheepish. "I thought you wanted to see me."
"Not like this!" You shouted, feeling exasperated by him.
"Sorry, I guess I'll just go," he said, and turned with his head down to leave.
"No, Danny wait," you stepped closer to him. "Where have you been?"
Daniel looked anywhere but at you and you found it odd.
"Just out, thinking," he shrugged.
"Out thinking?" You murmured.
"Yeah."
Daniel didn't expect the smack to his shoulder or for you to screech out, "Thinking!"
"Ah, why are you hitting me?" He leaned back and you smacked him one last time before turning away and sighing.
"You're an idiot."
"Yeah, you've told me," he replied, in a resigned voice as he went to leave.
"No, you don't get it!"
Daniel turned to look at you in surprise at your outburst.
"You just go out and do what you want. Go missing for days! And come back here like everything is cool when we all thought you could be dead in a ditch somewhere!"
Your arms fell back at your sides and you watched his surprised face with watery eyes.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you guys were so worried. My phone died and I thought you needed some space," he explained as he got closer.
He rested his hand on your waist and pulled you into one of his classic hugs that you melted into.
"I'm sorry too," you said into his chest. The sound coming out a bit muffled and you felt the vibration in his chest as he chuckled. You leaned your head back to look at him. "I shouldn't have treated you like I did the other day."
Daniel shook his head and let out a soft sigh.
"I know you don't like it when I interfere, but I don't like seeing others overstep their boundaries with you. They should know that I'm always there for you like you've been there for me too."
You were looking up at him with sleepy eyes. Despite the little light in the room you managed to see the five o'clock shadow on his face and he tired lines on his face.
"You want them to know I'm yours." It wasn't a question, you knew he did.
Daniel was possessive, not in a toxic way, but he was a mobster. If he didn't claim what was his then others would approach as if it was theirs for the taking. And he didn't want you to be collateral damage when he could protect you.
Somehow you always thought of that as ownership of you. That if you let him do that then you would always belong to him. You didn't want to be his property. You wanted to be his partner.
"And I'm yours too," Daniel responded, looking into your eyes. "You know that right?"
"I realized that now," you replied softly.
Daniel slowly leaned his head lower and lingered close to your lips.
"Do I have to show you?" He asked, huskily.
You cracked a knowing smirk, "Calm down tiger, we still have to talk about where you've been," you pressed on his chest to push him back. "And take a shower. It's been a long 24 hours."
You tugged the zipper of his jacket down and pushed it off of him as he stumbled back with a smirk on his face as you led him toward the bathroom.

His time spent on the sidelines halted the good thing you had going on. You, Y/N, were new to AEW but already an established star on the indies, picking up women’s belt after women’s belt (even a few men’s titles too) along the way. You were the big ‘I am’, a rising superstar – something Daniel knew all about.
It’s something you bonded over. Being young and living out your dreams on TV every Wednesday, you often found comfort in knowing that – whatever you went through – he could understand. And soon, all the big group hangouts at the club or whatnot turned into casual one-on-one meetups, which led to you guys texting all the time. Before you knew it, your ankles were pinned to your ears and he was digging in your gold until daybreak.
You let your best friend back home about the sneaky link-ups you had with the Buffalo kid but, at work, no one could ever know that Y/W/N was getting rammed over a roadie case in an abandoned corridor of whatever arena they were in that week. That the duo would soothe each other’s wounds once they got back to the hotel and would fuck cuddle up, savouring their solo time together. One time, it was pretty close.
In front of their friends, they act chummy. They might share the odd loving stare every now and again, but – for the most part – you acted like you usually would when hanging out with them: just friendly.
“Oh, Y/N! Don’t let me forget to hook you up with my boy, Nathan,” Isiah called out across the seating area while you waited for your turn to bowl. You can see Daniel’s head whip around to look at you with a dumbfounded look while Skye cheers for herself because she knocked over eight pins on her first go. The clanging in the background got louder and your heart pounded because you were scared Dare Bear would take it the wrong way.
Scrunching up your eyebrows, you asked Isiah, “Who?” before he reminded you that you asked him to recommend you an amazing tailor for a new gear idea.
“Oh, I thought you were setting me up or sum,” you mutter, melting back into your seat as embarrassment set in. Daniel also lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding in, giggling along with his best friend. Seems like all was restored – or so you thought.
“But seriously, Y/N. When are you gonna get yourself a foinnneee man?” Aminata jovially asked.
“We talking about Y/N?” Skye says, exchanging places with her boo Kyle before returning to her seat. “Girl, if you need help, just say that! Aminata and I have a 100% success rate.”
You scoff. “Who have you hooked up?” you remark.
“100% of nothing is still something!” She says before poking out her tongue. You and Aminata roll your eyes at her before her face drops into a sarcastic look of surprise, “What did I do?”
You catch a glimpse of Danny. He’s looking in your direction but it doesn’t seem like he sees you. He’s looking through you with this directionless glaze glossing over his eyes. You want to see if he’s OK but you don’t wanna blow you guys’ cover.
“If I say yes, will you leave me alone?” you ask quickly, instantly regretting the fact that you have given the duo to permission to pester you with date requests from mediocre men.
Aminata and Skye squeal as they promise that they “won’t let you down” and expect to be bridesmaids at your wedding.
You felt like you had eyes on you all night long, often catching Danny’s – now filled with fire. You couldn’t even comfortably celebrate the fact you won at bowling because, while everyone jested and congratulated you, all you could focus on was how Danny towered over you quietly.
Well, he told you how he felt that night. Like always, Daniel snuck into your room an hour after you settled in. You were already a little nervous because you wondered if he thought your eyes were wondering but – in actuality – he was your everything. He filled your heart with the warmth of 10 million suns. So when he just walked into your room without giving you a kiss, a “heyyyy,” or even a smile, your heart sank to the depths of the earth.
“What’s wrong with you?” you ask him, taken aback by his demeanour. He’s always so caring with you.
He sits on the edge of the bed and rubs hands together. “Are you dating other people?” He rebutted back, staring deep into your soul.
Your eyes widen as you quickly move across the room to caress his face. “No, I haven’t,” you replied.
“Why would you accept their offer to set you up on dates like that shit’s sweet?”
“I didn’t know what else to say to get out of the situation-”
“I don’t know. Maybe, you could say you got one?”
“Then they’d ask me who. I… I-"
"You what? Want to go hop on another man's dick? What the fuck is this even meant to be?" Danny cuts you off and aggressively stands up, making you take a step back.
You've never discussed exactly what the levels of this fling was. You were more than happy to keep it between the two of you, but this was more than two friends getting into a situationship. You guys discussed your life plans with one another, heard each other out and were one another's peace. All the stress and chaos from the outside world couldn't seep into you guys' bubble (well, it has), but you hadn’t explicitly told one another that you're strictly dating them.
You blink blankly at Daniel, hoping that if you stay quiet, the stress of the conversation would go away.
Daniel takes a step closer to search your face again. "Do you even want to date me?" he says, a little dejected this time. His breathing is heavy, fanning over your lips – driving you wild because all you want to do is kiss him.
"Of course I do," you whisper, scared that your voice will forsake you.
"Then what are we doing here?" Danny asked again, looking away from you. Your fingers touch his chin again, guiding his face to look at yours.
"I really, really like you, Danny," you tell him. "Now, if you don’t want anything serious, I get it like you're some hot wrestling star travelling the world. You can have any girl you want, so why pick lil ol' me? Don't feel like I'm holding you-"
Daniel smashed his lips on yours for a sloppy make-out session, letting his hands cruising all over your curves. You expel all the air from your lungs in the kiss and rip yourself away from those moreish swollen lips of his.
“Why did you do that?” Daniel shrugs his shoulders and drags you over to the bed, sitting down and placing you on his lap.
“I really, really, really like you too, Y/N,” he admits before turning his attention to an area he knows you love him nibbling at; your neck. He peppered kisses down it, earning a breathy whimper from you.
“Would any of those dates know your body like I do?” He whispered in your ear. “Any of them gonna make you feel how I make you feel?”
You bite your lip and vigorously shake your head. He chuckled into your ear, sending chills down your spine.
However, in this erotic moment, a surge of confidence overtook you. “Can I get a reminder for how good you make me feel?” you tease, cheekiness dripping of your tone.
Let’s say there was no more confusion between the two of you about where you stood with one another.
You guys continued to text and socialise in your friendship group like normal until Daniel had that blood-thirsty All Out match with MJF.
You wanted to give him your love in person before his match, knowing that the New Yorkers planned something brutal for the fans. But you were stuck on a medical bench, getting checked after being knocked out by Mercedes Moné and Kamille while pursuing the former’s TBS and NJPW Strong championships. You shot Daniel a text, hoping it’d be enough but that was the last time you communicated with him.
The doctor said you had no signs of a concussion and were good to go, so you left the room with the mission to find your man (if you can call him that yet). You didn’t have to look far as he was being rushed inside of the medical room next to you.
You tried to ask what was wrong and get some sort of explanation for someone but no one would talk to you. That’s the only downfall of keeping your relationship on the low.
You pace around the halls, trying to expend all the nervous energy you had because all you wanted to know is if Danny was OK. It didn’t seem like you’d get that answer until you saw Isiah walking down the hall with two duffels in hand. You waved him down quickly.
“What happened to Daniel?” you asked him with a scared look on your face, thinking MJF knocked him out again.
“He’s all good. Don’t worry, sis!” The Brooklynite reassures you. “He’s tired so I think he’s just gonna go back to the hotel and get some rest.”
You nod your head and tell Isiah to send him your love before running back to your locker room and freshening up. When you finally make it back to the hotel, you check to see if Daniel read any of your texts – to which, he didn’t. Strange.
You checked his location (you had each others to make it easier to find one another quicker) and saw that he was at the hotel so why is he not reading your messages? You sent a last text sharing your floor and room number and stayed awake, hoping for a text back.
Your alarm abruptly woke you up. Awkwardly hanging off of the edge of the bed, you found yourself still in your loungewear with your glasses on and your phone in your hand showing that he never read your message.
Disappointed, you dragged yourself around your room to pack and do what you needed to do to catch your plane back home. You tried to call Daniel to tell him you got home safely like you always did, but his phone was off. Stranger.
You spent weeks waiting by the phone, wondering why your best friend and confidant wasn’t talking to you like you were used to. You told each other everything down to the smallest details and there’s been so much you’re holding in because you need to tell Danny first. So, this period of silence is secretly cut you up.
“Oh, girl, get over that bum now!” Your childhood friend Shania told you during your weekly catchup over some red wine and assorted pastries. “Doesn’t he know his 30 minutes was up a long time ago?”
You both sniggered, reminiscing on the funny Tiffany Polard meme.
“I know, but he was my friend first. I just want to know that he’s alright.”
And he was alright, for sure. Rolling his suitcase through the corridor with his shades on with his typical bounce, he looked just as great as he did before. For months, you’ve been trying to convince yourself that he’s a dick for just airing you like that – but seeing him now flooded your mind with all the same feelings as before.
The leather vest was a nice touch, too. Oh, how you’d love to stroke it, maybe even scrap your acrylic nails down it while you ride him like a bronco bull, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
You froze in place when your eyes landed on him and, when he noticed you, you could see his jawline tighten – something he does when he’s nervous and avoidant.
“Shit,” you scream internally, quickly looking away in hopes that he would just walk right past you… and he did.
Why didn't he want to talk to you? Considering all you shared with one another and how vulnerable you allowed yourself to be, how did he find the audacity to just drop you like he did your panties that one night? Focus! He cannot get away with this.
You feel the rage you've had for months bubble up again and your face contorted into one of fury. "It's like that?" you babble to yourself before marching back to your locker room.
You’ll just have to show him what he’s been missing, then.

Summary: After a rough breakup with Tyler, the reader finds herself spending more and more time with Daniel. Tyler acts like he doesn't care, but seeing reader with Daniel awakens something inside of him.
AEW is in the idyllic Pacific North West for the month. Rain pours down onto the bay city of Seattle as Tyler finally arrives to his hotel after a long flight from the East coast. He trudges into the cozy lobby of the hotel, grumbling to himself about the seemingly unrelenting downpour of rain outside.
Tyler stops in the lobby and gives himself a second to peel off his damp jacket as well as pull out his phone. He is busy getting his jacket off when a sweet voice catches his attention. Tyler's gaze flits up and over to the front door of the lobby as you step inside with a casual smile plastered on your face and Daniel Garcia at your side.
"Umbrella's are for losers, Danny." You giggle at Garcia and pull off your beanie from your head. "Didn't you notice that no one around here is using one?" You ask him playfully.
"Alright, alright." Daniel chuckles and wipes some excess water from his face. "I get it. Umbrella are for tourists and losers. And I ain't no loser."
Tyler doesn't take it eyes off you as you make your way across the lobby floor with Daniel trailing you. The two of you head up to the front desk and check into your respective rooms.
"We're on the same floor!" You turn to Daniel once you're checked-in. "Nice!"
Daniel matches your smile, and the two of you head off to the elevator at the side of the lobby. Tyler waits until the elevator closes and begins its accent before he moves again. His teeth grind in his mouth, his jaw clenched in anger.
Later into the night, you and Daniel are headed into the arena for Dynanite together when you spot Tyler also coming into the building.
"Hey, Ty!" You offer your ex a friendly wave from Daniel's side.
"Hey, YN." Tyler stops in his tracks and nods at you though his gaze is fixed on Daniel. "New travel partner?" He switches his attention back to you.
You glance at Daniel for a second before nodding at Tyler. "Yeah. Danny and I have been hanging out." You confirm. "How are you? I saw you hanging out with Jericho these past few weeks. How's that going?" You ask him.
"It's been fine." Tyler shrugs, being his usual nonchalant and stoic self.
"Right...well, we should get going." You bounce on your heels awkwardly. "Nice running into you, Ty." You flash another friendly smile before you and Daniel walk off.
Tyler nods and watches you walk off with Daniel. His jaw twitches as he watches Daniel linger near you just a bit too close for comfort.
Once Daniel is sure that Tyler is no longer within hearing distance he glances down at you. "Didn't he break up with you?" He asks you.
"Tyler? No. Well...it was a mutual split. Why?" You shake your head.
"I don't know. Bro just seemed kind of hostile, that's all." Daniel shrugs. "He was mean-mugging me while you weren't looking." He huffs out a breath.
Your eyebrows bounce in slight surprise. "i don't think that's what he was doing, Daniel." You assure him. "Tyler's face just looks like that most of the time is all."
"If you say so." Daniel shrugs it off.
The time comes around in the show when you've got a match scheduled against Mariah May.
"You sure that you don't want me to go out there with you?" Daniel asks you playfully as you're getting ready to head out.
"Sorry, Danny. But no pretty boys out for my matches." You tease him with a laugh. "You can walk me down to the curtain though."
Daniel flashes an excited grin and rushes to open the door for you. You giggle at his antics and step out into the hall with him. The two of you head down to the curtain and Daniel leaves you at the tunnel entrance.
"I'll wait up for you after the show." Daniel in forms you. "We can grab dinner after, yeah?" He asks. "My treat?"
"Daniel Garcia!" You muse. "Are you asking me out on a date?" You ask him.
Daniel chuckles and rubs the back of his neck. "Yeah, I figured that it was about time I asked you out." He laughs.
"I'd love dinner later, Danny." You agree to his offer of dinner. "Shoot me a text later and we can make plans, yeah?" You ask him.
"Yeah, got it. Go kick some ass out there, YN!" He encourages you before sending you on your way through the tunnel.
You head out to the ring and join Mariah for your match. The two of you go at it for a while, but Toni Storm keeps on distracting you. Mariah keeps the upper hand the whole match which causes you to grow more desperate for a win by the second. You take a chance near the end of the match when Mariah is lying on the mat and climbs up to the top rope. You attempt to hit Mariah with a 450 splash but Toni grabs Mariah's ankle at the last moment and pulls her out of the way. You try and alter your trajectory but end up coming down on your ankle hard.
"Shit!" You curse and grab at your ankle.
Mariah sees your injury and is quick to capitalize on it. She grabs ahold of your ankle and forces you to submit to her. The bell rings and Mariah slips out of the ring to celebrate with Toni, leaving you to your injured ankle.
"YN, are you okay?" Aubrey, the referee for the match comes over to check on you.
"I don't know." You wince. "I came down on my ankle pretty hard." You frown and try to get to your feet.
Pain shoots up you ankle and you wince again, barely able to put pressure on it. Aubrey goes to call for some help, but someone else beats her to it. You sit down on the edge of the apron just as Tyler comes sprinting down to the ring from backstage.
"YN!" Tyler rushes to check on you. "Are you okay?" He stops at your side to console you.
"Tyler?" You are a little surprised to find your ex coming out to aid you. "What are you doing out here? Where you watching my match?" You ask him.
Tyler nods, not one bit concerned with the implications of his confirmation that he was watching your match from backstage. "Come on, let me help you backstage" He offers his arm to you.
"Yeah, okay." You nod and slip down to the floor.
Tyler helps you up the ramp and back through the tunnel. When the two of you come through the tunnel to the backstage area you find Daniel there waiting for you.
"YN!" Daniel rushes over to you. "I was just hanging out with Matt when I heard that you got hurt! Are you okay?" He asks on you.
You nod and lean on Garcia now that he's standing next to you. Tyler grinds his teeth as you step away from him and glares at Daniel.
"I came down on my ankle pretty hard." You frown. "I should probably go get it looked at. Just to be safe." You add.
"Yeah, of course." Daniel nods and holds his arm out to guide you. "Come on, I'll walk you down there." He offers.
You nod and take Daniel's arm. Before the two of you walk off, you turn back to a waiting Tyler. "Thanks for helping me out of the ring, Ty." You thank him. "But seriously, Tyler. We broke up three months ago. You don't have to keep checking up on me. Or watching my matches."
"Right." Tyler nods and switches the weight of his feet. "Are you sure that you're going to be okay?" He asks you. "I know we aren't together anymore. But that doesn't mean I don't still care about you." He insists.
"I'll be fine, I'm sure." You insist with a nod. "Daniel and I should get going." You dismiss yourself.
Tyler nods and watches Daniel help you out of the room. You stick close to Garcia, leaning on him for support as you go. Seeing you so close to Garcia ignites a fire within Tyler that he hasn't felt in a long time. Jealousy. Does he have any right to be feeling this way? No. But that doesn't change the fact that seeing you with Daniel makes Tyler want to put his fist through a wall.
Later in the night, Tyler is getting ready to head back to the hotel when he spots you out in the parking lot. You've got a pair of crutches with you, and medical tape on your lower leg near your ankle. Daniel trails at your side carrying your bags out to the rental car for you.
"Thanks, Danny." You thank Garcia for his help.
"Yeah, I got you, boo." Daniel nods. "You still in the mood to go out for dinner?" He asks you. "We could always order some takeout and chill at the hotel if you're not feeling it." He suggests.
You nod and lean against the car so you're not putting pressure on your now-injured ankle. "Yeah, takeout sounds nice. There's this new movie streaming that I've been wanting to watch." You remember suddenly.
"Sounds like a date then." Daniel beams and comes around to the passenger side of the car to get the door for you.
On the other side of the parking lot, Tyler curses the air and shakes his head. "Fuck!" He growls to himself. "She's gone, isn't she? And it's all my fucking fault. God, I'm such an idiot!" He runs a hand through his hair.
I have had this stuck with me for a time now, wording this sucked.
