Yet, we receive so little of it

You're just lying in your bed all alone

Convincing yourself that you're not lonely

But you count back to the times you were left behind

And you start to think that the one at fault is you

They tell you it's not your fault

And you try hard to believe them but you just can't

You were the beginning of my November You appeared out of nowhere and decided you’d like to stay with me forever Even though the skies cried that day You made me feel as if I was walking on a sunny autumn day

In the middle of November You realized that your definition of forever was until the 14th of November The words you said next were hard for me to bear

And at the end of November I chose to let go of the one person that made my world brighter For he, who I thought was the one turned out to be no one.

As I walk closer to you The less I see more of you The less love you give to me

I keep walking though I am hurting Hoping I’d hear those sweet words once again Hoping you’d look at me the way you did the first time

As we stood face to face You see my scars And realized that I’m not the one you need I remember the doubt, fear and disappointment painted in your eyes Then just like that, you started walking away Leaving me in a state of disarray

I saw your scars too and trust me, it only made me wanna stay
