Ultra Truth, Daniel Avery (2022)
I always like Daniel Avery’s stuff, to some extent. His electronica is always very competent, atmospheric and well-assembled. My biggest issue is that (since Drone Logic, anyway) his stuff has lacked any real bite; there’s nothing out-of-the-box experimental, no head-spinning turns, mixes or samples. It’s always a bit dull – and Ultra Truth is the same.
