REVIEW DAN CROSSLEY / ‘Call Back’ . The influence of Soul music on London’s Dan Crossley is more than evident on the singer/songwriter’s latest single ‘Call Back’ from his upcoming EP “Closure”. There is a definite passion and appreciation for the genre tattooed all over the song. Between the deep R&B and Blues groove, the splashes of pop, the injections of electric guitar, and Crossley’s unique vocals, ‘Call Back sounds as though it could have been ripped straight out of time and transplanted in today’s urban tapestry. . There are moments that bring me back to the rock and blues magic of early Colin James, heating up the tempo with startling guitar strikes and scratches. And then there is the infusion of today’s strikingly on point Maxwellesque R&B beats rounding out the bass line. . But it’s truly Crossley’s soaring vocals that are fully on display here. They dip low and flow high matching the light and shade of the smokey sexiness that stretches throughout the song. You almost expect to feel that same warmth you get from drinking a very good whiskey stretch through your body. Both are smooth as silk. . Indeed 2019 is off to a strong start for Dan Crossley. With strong releases and an EP on the way, I think we’ll be calling him back regularly. . https://youtu.be/p93HUMPz7Ug . @iamdancrossley #DanCrossley #CallBack #QReview #lgbtmusic #queermusic #lgbtqmusic #qtunes #qvibrations #insta #instagood #instagay #instagram #instamusic #instadaily #instalike #instafollow #follow #followme #music #musicvideo https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs__41xlz8Z/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=e8dc8mf76uj6
