Had my first intermediate tap lesson yesterday, at last
It took me a long time to find my feet. Actually, I spent most of the time struggling to get them to respond while my teacher and mates were doing these amazing combinations. There were flaps everywhere and many times I just stood there looking like this:
I could see my teacher looking at me and nodding encouragingly several times and I did my best trying to keep up, especially with the time steps but damn it was hard!
That being said, there's no chance in Hell I'm walking away from this. I love it to bits and I can't wait to pull this off! I have already booked classes for the rest of the month and I'm super ready to tackle this down.
Not having tap dancing class today is not an option.
It was going to be my first class trying out the intermediate level and I was so excited... but my teacher got sick and cancelled. Which is sensible, of course, she was in no shape to teach a class today...
But I feel restless. I really, really need to tap today. Last week I couldn't make it and I was hoping to get back with full strength today. I have already booked a practice room for Saturday to tap away all I want but still!
This is the city. Somewhere someone has to be as eager as me to tap dance today!

Chennai guy is all but glued to me...what have I done.
Just danced several songs with this really good salsa dancer from Chennai. I was intimidated at first because I remember him being insanely good. We both relaxed when I mentioned learning Hindi, how he speaks Tamil, and engineering.

Trying out a swing class today!
No, you don't understand, I've always wanted to do it! Both swing and tap dancing have been going round and round in my head since forever. And today I'm finally taking a leap. I'm doing it. I will be rubbish and step in my partner's toes and be an overall klutz but woah, bring it, I'm so ready!

I'm joining Cathryn's dancing place next week and I'm really excited... lets just hope that I won't fall on my face the first lesson!
