Why We Believe
We told you a while ago that we believe dance music is the movement that will change the world for the better. We also promised we would elaborate on why we believe this to be true. And when you make a promise, you should live up to it!
The power of EDM is undeniable. Every weekend hundreds of thousands of party people find a club, event or festival to enjoy their favourite style of EDM. Whether its with a couple hundred people, or tens of thousands, we all gather for the same reason. To enjoy the music we love and see the artists we love take us away from the usual strain of life.
At times like this, it doesn't matter how you look or how you talk. It doesn't matter where you are from, what you do for a living, or how much money you have. It doesn't matter what you wear or how you dance. Nobody looks for the differences between one another, but instead everybody embraces the biggest similarity: the love for dance music.
This creates a bond, a familiar feeling, an instant friendship between everybody present. We dance and laugh with people we have never met. We have conversations with people we'd never talk to on the street. Sometimes it's just a matter of making a small gesture or exchanging a look, and someone you have never seen before will immediately know what you mean. Because with the DJ's as the link and the music as their tool, they create a connection between all of us.
It is this connection that makes dance music so powerful. When we all accept eachother as we are, and just make the best of it with whoever is near you. And it is this atmosphere that we should take as an example for every day life. Because when you realize that it is not our differences that are important, but our similarities. When you realize that we all just want the same. When you realize that together we can make one big family. THAT is when you understand that intolerance is just stupidity.
There is a small sidenote. Because sometimes we notice intolerance between different genres. Even though they all come together on the same event, sometimes people see a need to bring other styles of dance music down. It is with this idea in mind that we try to break down the differences. And get you, and everyone, to understand that no matter what style you prefer, no matter how many events you have visited and no matter how long you have been in the scene: We are all part of the same family.
We hope that by fading genre boundaries, and with the help of the great artists that make the world of dance music so great, many people will start to see and understand our message. That the atmosphere we create when enjoying our music can be a guideline for the rest of our every day lives. And that maybe, one day, you too will believe.
Keep On Dancing!
