It also near enough to the other nightclubs that have been featured in the blog already. Pygmalion is open everyday of the week from 11am to around 2:30am. With the Pyg operating as a restaurant during the day, it becomes alive as the day goes on particularly during the weekends, especially Fridays and Saturdays.
As stated above, Pygmalion operates as a restaurant during the day with a variety of food and drinks available throughout the day. Pygmalion also have offers throughout the week such as 2 for 1 Pizzas and 2 for 1 drink in the bar.
As the night rolls in, the music starts bumping and the DJs start to play the different music depending on the mood. There are also different guests that comes in to play music for the customers in the evenings. There are a wide variety of cocktails and beers to choose from and with the music bumping loud you can dance with your mates until it is time to go.
During this time, you are able to book a table or a ticket to enter as there are limited spaces available due to Government restrictions. Throughout the month of December there are limited spaces, and the club is operating as a booking system to enter.
The Living Room, Cathal Brugha Street.
The Living Room
The next venue that we will be writing about is The Living Room. It is located on Cathal Brugha Street, right in the centre of the city and is one of the very best sports bars/nightclubs in the area. While it is open from early times, it is known as a late night club, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. With entry being free, it becomes one of the liveliest venues in the city.
Regarding it’s facilities, it is a reasonably large venue which is primarily seen as a sports bar with plenty of large televisions showing a range of sports all day. There is a beer garden in the back with its own bar and outdoor screen. One of the things the bar is known best for is its shisha lounge. It is very popular among people of different ages which offers a great atmosphere and an enjoyable time. There is also a pizza shack which is situated in the beer garden which provides a wide variety of pizzas to choose from.
Overall, The Living Room is definitely somewhere which should go on your bar/nightclub bucket list of Dublin. It is a venue which any sports fan will enjoy and with its free entry and relatively cheap drinks, you can’t go wrong.

Dtwo NightClub
This week’s blog will feature Dtwo bar and nightclub. Dtwo is located in Harcourt Street, a few blocks away from the previous bar/nightclubs that have been featured in this blog. These are Copper Face Jacks and Dicey’s Garden. Dtwo nightclub is open on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10pm until late.
The entrance fee for Dtwo is about €10, but this varies. Drink prices are relatively cheap and is very famous among college students and young adults. The nightclub has a capacity of 400 guests but there is also a Beer Garden, an outdoor space that can accommodate 800 guests during the day. Dtwo also have 20 screens and a 20-foot screen that have coverage of major sporting events.
What makes Dtwo popular with students is the 3 DJs that are available during the night that play different types of music from old classics and new ones that are in the charts at the moment. The DJs are also welcome to accept requests of particular music from guests throughout the night.
Like Dicey’s Garden, Dtwo also attracts different cultures and it is a perfect opportunity to meet people from all over the world. With its location by the LUAS Green line, it makes it easy to travel to and from the nightclub. With other nightclubs nearby, it will not be hard to find a club that will not satisfy you.
Tramline, D’Olier Street.
Tramline
This evening, we will look at Tramline. Tramline night club is one of Dublin most popular nightclubs especially among students. It has grown in popularity over the last few years. It is situated on D’Olier Street in the city centre just twenty seconds from Trinity college. Opened in September 2017 after being revamped from previous nightclubs such as Tara Club 21 and Coyote. Tramline has managed to be more successful than the nightclubs that have been in the same locations due to its investment. It now hosts live music and conferences on top of discos.
What makes the club so popular is the different types of music it plays. There is three rooms throughout the club, usually one for a DJ, one for the latest chart hits and one for a live act. There is also a bar in each room. The club is always full to capacity every night its open, which is up to one thousand.
One of the reasons why it attracts so many students is its cheap prices. With most drinks two euro or cheaper during weekdays it is a major catch for the money tight youngsters. These prices are extraordinarily cheap compared to some other nightclubs in Dublin such as Coppers and Everleigh.
Although it is not the most well-known club in Dublin, it still manages to attract big numbers each night. It is growing its reputation as a cheap and enjoyable club throughout Dublin and is a place that is sure to attract many more people over the college seasons.
