{❀} it probably wasn't the BEST sign that fiyero had just managed to come to her after elphaba's flight. she willfully ignored the warning bells going off in her head, and instead focused only on the RELIEF that he had found her.
bobby pins were pressed into her hair and shenshen adjusted her robe. glinda's eyes met fiyero's in the mirror. so many unspoken words glittered in her brown eyes and she politely (but quickly) dismissed the emerald city sycophants that fluttered around her.
she and her BOYFRIEND were left quite alone in the round room filled with beautiful flowers, half-finished gowns, make-up and perfume, and different sparkling TIARAS floating around them.
with a deep breath, she slowly pulled herself from the chair and rushed to him, throwing her arms around his frame. tears slipped down her cheeks, smudging her make-up and choking her throat.
"fiyero!" glinda wept, pressing her face into his chest. her body shook with grief.
elphaba had flown off. she had LEFT. their group...shattered and displaced. she wept for her best friend--forced to leave to save herself. she wept for nessa, who'd lost her father (though she didn't weep for the MEAN deceased governor). she wept for boq, who had sent her a letter that he was headed to munchkinland for the funeral. she wept for fiyero--who hadn't come to see her in the week since madame morrible declared her a WICKED WITCH.
most of all, she wept for her innocence. something she knew had DISINTEGRATED the moment madame morrible had wrapped her arms around her.
swallowing back her exhaustion, she leaned back to study his face. "...i've been better." accusation tinged her tongue, but she couldn't bear to push him away. not when she felt so ALONE.
"where have you been? i..." a hand gestured to the room around them. "...i'm to attend governor thropp's funeral as the wizard's personal representative."
