Cared for… She thought back to a turning point with Crane, another painful inconvenience that landed herself a funeral. She heard her reception was somewhat populated then. It was something else to imagine it now. But, therein lied a problem. Kira breathed in frustration as she concluded monotonously, “There wouldn’t be a body to revive or bury.“ She tried her best to elaborate with a hesitant gesture of a gloved hand. “And, your touch acts differently for those technically not alive, so...” There really was nothing she could do to help.

 “No. No, I’m afraid this is where I have to leave you. At least for the moment. Should I not return, Crane’ll likely ask River to make sure you’re safe.” Before any sort of protest on her behalf, Kira had to interject. “–I know I’ve been holding back…Being strange. I want you to know, I know what you really did for him. I know you saved his life. Past his time? Thank-you…”

“I–” She’d caught her in a lie. The price of the convenience of her abilities was ultimately suspicion, and her credit towards sincerity. But years of hiding her advantages somewhat improved her improvisation. If a little awkwardly, she explained, “–Couldn’t even get past traffic, so I texted Dove to fetch it for me. Here.”

 It was childish, sure. Breaking and entering, maybe. But, the simple hiding ‘round the unlikely corner for a jump-scare was a classic. She wrapped her arms around her from behind as she turned away, and didn’t let go for quite a while, swaying as she giggled and buried herself in that poof of early morning hair. “Come on, Clarke, it’s October! I’ve a reputation to keep.”

Not that they had done any damage, but they were scared to walk around Gotham by themself, much less accidentally run into someone.

This tip better be damn stellar and Cecil better not have to go up three flights of stairs or some bullshit. They approached Gotham University and entered the office building. After a brief talk with a counselor (or some attendant or whatever), Cecil was told to wait in the office while someone came to collect the pizza (and bread sticks, and two 2-liters of soda). The lady at the desk made a phone call to Ms. Aisley Lithgow.

on another note, @damnedbcnes the movie was shipped on the 23rd, so i’m hoping it’ll get here either today or tomorrow
