14 and 22 for the writing process q's please !
14. what is your favorite part of the writing process?
for novels, it's probably just drafting! i've really gained a love for editing recently though. for poetry, it's probably toward the end of a single poem or larger scale project where things "click" and finally come together! this is usually when i come up with the title.
22. what's something you wish you'd learned earlier as a writer?
not to wait on projects for when i'm "better" or "more skilled". i had so many ideas when i was younger that i decided to wait until i felt more equipped to pursue, but guess what? you're never going to feel qualified! it's imposter syndrome! i wish i would have just written all my funky little fantasy and sci-fi ideas because now i enjoy literary fiction a lot more and i feel like i've outgrown all those ideas. it's kind of sad that none of them will ever get written.
