Hi! So it’s. Been a hot minute. I do not open tumblr that much if it isn’t obvious lol. But I felt bad this has been sitting in my inbox for who knows how long and despite not making FSYY content anymore I have certainly not left it behind (I still use my interpretations for my assignments. Maybe I’ll even do my own short film adaptation one day 💭)

But to answer this question, don’t hate me but my main hyperfixation for FSYY is on the generals. Like NeZha, TianHua (the Tian family in general), YangJian, Deng ChanYu, Princess LongJi, Lei ZhenZi… KongXuan is an underrated one imo I like that stupid overpowered peacock thing. They usually have the more fun dynamics I like to explore and see explored. Plus they got fun powers and weapons. I think Lei ZhenZi being a bird and having lightning based abilities is an incredible pairing no one is using to its full potential. Like imagine a peregrine falcon dive with a trail of lightning behind it so when it strikes the ground it’s a lightning strike 💭

Tl;dr I’m not usually super invested in Daji’s storyline unfortunately. Actually, Daji has a bit of a Frakenstein situation going on here in terms of name. Daji is the name of the girl the unnamed fox spirit possesses, not the actual spirit itself. I wish Daji herself actually got more substance out of just being a vessel. Would love an adaptation that explores that (if I’m not mistaken the studio that made the NeZha movies did a FSYY adaptation that actually gives Daji some character so yay for that)
