The one hundred thirty fifth. Daily dose of not so wise quotes:"The soul. A concept we think is true, we make it true through our wish to be true. We have, if I am not mistaken, no proof for the soul to exist. But the imagination of being a soulless machine terrifies us. So as we give ourselves value, we also give ourselves a soul. But what is the definition of the soul? Is there one definitive definition? Or has everyone their own unique idea of the soul? I personally think the soul, like many other things, is an illusion of our mind, a collective illusion. We imagine it to be true, because we want to be more than our biology, we want a mystery to our person, a mystery of our own, that personality traits are more than our experiences. The soul may have no definition, maybe it is a feeling which cannot be described by logic."
