Simon tosses a bar rag his way with a grunt. there is color high in his cheeks and his eyes are shockingly bright - to the average passerby he would almost appear feverish. it's not the case. "if you're gonna keep hanging around here you might as well make yourself useful." his nostrils work in a steady flare as his fingers curl around and nearly blister the bar top, but don't wrinkle at the sharp vampiric scent. there are worse things to worry about right now, and he knows if the vamp was going to do something he would have three months ago. at this point the interest is almost funny.
Amber eyes stare intensely at the bulky older gentleman across the bar- his hair slicked back with gel and sweat and nails thick with a days work worth of dirt did not make for an appetizing prospect, but it was dead tonight. Simon's voice cut across just as Nicolas was wondering whether he wouldn't be better off luring the newly (third time) divorced loudmouth, waving his drink around like he was begging to be cut off. "Oh?" Head turning just so slightly in acknowledgement. "Do you extend this offer to all your customers?" He gestures vaguely at the glass of cheap wine he's been nursing for the past few hours. "Next you will be telling me to serve myself." A small smile as he catches outline of Simon's expression. "Careful, pup. Judging by how slow it is I doubt you can afford to replace the counter."
