The artist sits with a dazed stare ; dark eyes looking out over the skyline of Kyoto. A watercolored sky meeting the jagged building tops – scraping against the clouds as if they were built to paint the sky. He’s tired, and the bags under his eyes are enough to mirror that point. When he manages to pull his gaze from the view he feels almost disoriented. Blurry gaze moving over the various white sheets sprawled out before him in the house he’s been renting. There had been a reason for coming to Japan after all, though he found himself more focused on being home than anything.
Thin fingers dance along the pages he’s finished, lifting them to examine. The trip was focused around a collaboration with another mangaka ; Eun Yongsun . Another he admired, and someone he had been looking forward to working with. He had been in Japan under a week, yet he had already completed more ideas and sketches than he had expected. He gathers them into a small pile before setting them aside on the kitchen table. The table resembled more of a war zone than anything ; scattered with prints and sketches - - boxes full of utensils and stacks of paper. Over prepared would have described the scene, yet Shou continued to worry he was missing something. He lifts his phone finally before scrolling through the contacts before texting Yong-Sun.
