Kakashi had been dead asleep when someone started pounding on the door. He stood up, walked up to the door, and opened it, only to find himself with an armful of Uchiha. Shisui had been leaning on the door.

Suddenly wide awake, Kakashi pulled the kid in and closed the door. "Shisui? Hey!." He hauled him up easily and took him to his own bed, putting him on his back to check for injuries. The only dire thing he found was an empty eye socket, which made him feel like his blood had frozen solid.

It wasn’t like a normal obsession that he would eventually kill, no—he wanted to protect them—he wanted them to stay alive—NO NO NO. He couldn’t think about that. They would both die eventually, they had to, but the thought made clawed fingers tremble.

“Mmm, why don’t you keep that shit to yourself? Nothings changed.” He hissed between teeth; water shutting off as he finally turns to the other, brows pinched together. “Maybe you did—but not I.”

That was the first thing Kakashi heard upon regaining consciousness. He sat up and opened his mouth, probably to make a scathing remark, only to pale considerably. He pushed Obito with one hand, pulled down his mask with the other, and promptly lost his lunch on the ground.

Great. A concussion.

Kakashi huffed, crouching in front of Obito to take a look at his leg, which seemed to be starting to swell and get red. They had been tasked with killing a pack of wolves that had been eating the cattle in a village in the country. C-Rank. Kakashi and Obito had been out looking for the wolves, while Rin guarded the cattle, in case the pack decided to attack while they were in the forest.

Of course, at some point in the fight with the wolves, Obito had ended up injured. He had been too busy to see it firsthand, but it wouldn't surprise him if he had tripped. Kakashi let out a long-suffering sigh and crouched in front of his teammate.
