Jack’s waking up before you, a rare occurrence since he’s usually the last person on planet earth to get up in the mornings. His fingers reaching out to brush a few strands of hair out of your face before he’s settling back down beside you. Something about how peaceful and content you look warming his heart. Your eyelashes resting on the tops of your cheekbones and occasionally fluttering as your dream nears its end, and your lips curling into a slight smile when he appears in your thoughts. “Good morning” he’s whispering when you finally wake after what feels like a lifetime of him laying there on his own, desperately fidgeting around to fill the time in an environment that he rarely finds himself in. “Hi” you’re smiling, your eyes barely open when you feel him leaning in towards you. His lips gently pressing against yours, careful not to add too much pressure considering you’ve only been awake a few seconds, but still enough to let you know that he’s there since your eyes have fluttered shut again. “I love you” he’s breathing before going back in again, his hand resting on the side of your face this time and gently tilting your head up towards him, giving him much better access to the lips that he craves being able to kiss every morning for the rest of his life.
