“Absolute fucking bullshit. The whole lot of it” Emmeline mumbled as she pushed the door open to some bar she had been passing when she decided she definitely needed a drink. Dinner with her father couldn’t have gone worse, seeing as he’d walked out before the food had even come. 

Emmeline always had difficulties bonding with her Dad, they liked music, and that was about it. When she was younger it had been easier, but then her parents divorced and Cian had started to resent the fact that Emmeline was a witch, because he felt she then preferred her mother. Him moving back to Ireland didn’t help either, especially now because of the War she couldn’t see him as often which annoyed him. So Em had organised a dinner with him and her brother just to catch up, which had gone so horribly, He’d left, Malachi had followed trying to sort it out and so Em had just followed suit and left, they clearly weren't coming back. 

Now she was sat down at the edge of the bar desperately needing a drink “One firewhiskey please. A double” she said to the bartender, picking at her sleeve and not noticing who the bartender exactly was.
