Killer Queen- A fun little DaD side story
Summary: Ethan’s workplace has a little karaoke night to pass the time until new year’s eve becomes new year’s day, and, well, Marvin’s there, of course, so, everyone asks him to do a little bit of karaoke, just for the hell of it.
———
“Alright, who else wants to sing tonight? Anyone?”
A few people raised their hands, some of them ones that had already sung.
Marvin was leaned up against the bar in the back that Ethan usually worked at, as usual, watching the fun with a small, almost smug-looking smile on his face.
“Y-You should give it a shot, Marv.” Ethan suggested hesitantly.
“... Hm? What was that, darling~?” He asked, turning his head to look at the shy boy.
The poor kid smiled nervously, not sure what to do, “... I-I... Um... You should go sing! I... I’d bet you sound pretty good!”
“Oh, I don’t know, sweetheart... I’m not much one to sing, really.”
“.. Please?” Oh, the puppy eyes... Oh, dear, he’d forgotten that Ethan knew how to do those.
“Come on, Marv! It’ll be fun!” One of the other regulars piped in, a reassuring smile on their face.
“Oh, dear...” He sighed, knowing full well that his cheeks were a little pink now, “I’m not sure...”
“Marvin, please? Only once? I-I won’t ask again!” Ethan added a little smile to the puppy eyes.
He put his hand on his face, sighed, and gave in, “Oh, alright, darling, but only because you’re being so nice, alright..?”
“Yay!” Ethan’s face lit up, and he clapped with joy.
“Let’s let this next person finish their bit, though.”
“Oh! (hehe..) F-Fair enough...”
...
“Wow, what a great singer! So, who’s ne-“
“I’ll take the stage now, darling~” Marvin said, waltzing up and taking the mic from the employee. Everyone seemed on board with it, so, the guy didn’t argue, and just walked off of the stage after he gave him the song.
The tune came in with a trilogy of snaps, after the lights turned off long enough for him to turn around.
He turned around, “She keeps her Moet et Chandon..” the stage’s spotlights lights turned on, as well as the ones in the back, as he started singing. His singing voice was damn good, and he knew that full well. “... In a pretty cabinet~”
A step to the edge of the stage, as he danced a little. “‘Let them eat cake.’ She says, just like Marie Antoinette!” He waltzed to the edge, the spotlight still on him. He knew he had them all captivated.
“A built-in remedy, for Krushev and Kennedy,” He continued to dance as he sung, “At anytime, an invitation, you can’t decline~”
“Caviar and cigarettes, well-versed in etiquette; Extraordinarily nice,”
He delicately stepped onto the nearest table, much to the enjoyment of everyone watching. “She’s a Killer Queen, Gunpowder, gelatin, dynamite with a laser beam,”
He twirled around on top of the table, dancing his way down it like you’d expect the queen or king of the disco room to, “Guaranteed to blow your mind~”
“Recommended at the price, insatiable an appetite~” He bent down at the end of the table, briefly using his hand to tilt up one of the ladies’ chin, before dancing away with a cheeky wink, as her mouth dropped wide open.
He twirled from table to table as he sung, “To avoid complications, she never kept the same regrets; In conversation, she spoke just like a baroness!”
“Met a man from china, went down to Geisha Minah..” He bowed to a few of the guests, extending a hand for one to grab onto so they could dance with him for a little, “... Then again, incidentally, if you’re that way inclined~”
“Perfume came naturally from Paris,” He continued, ending out the mini dancing duet, and hopping over to the tables in the middle of the room, “For cars, she couldn’t care less; Fastidious and precise!”
“She’s a Killer Queen, gunpowder and gelatin, dynamite with a laser beam, guaranteed to blow your mind~” He tapped and swirled, teeted and totted, dancing like no one was watching.
“Drop of a hat, she’s as willing as, playful as a pussycat~” He stopped at another group, bowing a bit as he sung, winking at one of the women, before lightly dancing away.
“Then momentarily out of action, temporarily out of gas, to absolutely drive you wild, wild...” He returned to the stage, back turned on the audience again, before turning just his head to give them a slightly evil, yet playful little look, “... She’s all out to get you~”
“She’s a Killer Queen, gunpowder, gelatin, dynamite with a laser beam...”
“... Guaranteed to blow your mind~” He spun a little spin, extending his arms a bit for a moment.
“Recommended at the price, insatiable an appetite...” He smiled a little, that smug glint of his still in his eyes, as he finished, and the room erupted into ecstatic cheers, claps, and whistles, “... You wanna try?”
He bowed a few times, playfully humoring their encores and such, before handing the microphone back to the totally stunned employee and waltzing back off the stage.
...
“H-Holy shit Marv, I didn’t expect you to go that far! Damn, that was amazing, though!” Ethan congratulated him, his face littered with astonishment and awe.
“Aw, thank you, deary, you’re too kind~” He purred, ruffling the boy’s hair.
“Ack-! N-No! N-Not the hair!” Ethan laughed, putting the glass and cloth down to push Marvin’s hand away. Marvin made one of those fake sad faces little kids love to make, and Ethan just gave him a flustered, almost confused look, smiling still.
... At least he made the poor kid laugh for once.

Welp, here you go! My first ever uncanon fluff fic! I thought i might as well, seeing as this AU is totally perfect for a musical! And, of course, Marv had to sing Killer Queen by the one and only Queen! It’s practically his theme song!
