Is it me or is Jay Z killing the game (in a good way) he is becoming more than a Hip-Hop mogul. I am never the one to sweat a guy for any of his/her accomplishments but when Charlie Sheen says "Winning" he must have been holding up the Roc Diamond sign. 

Lets take a quick look at the list of accomplishments Jay have gone through, first off he was the illest MC in the game but no label would sign him as an artist. He rocked with Jaz O as a member of The Originators spitting quick lyrics over tight beats. Then he started his own label Rocafella Records with Dame Dash and Kareem Biggs who signs Kanye West. Sold Millions of records without having to go POP as most artist find themselves compromising their street integrity for Corporate America.

Next he is a partner with the hottest clothing line RocaWear, hooks up with the hottest female artist in the game (Beyonce), gets married and has a Beautiful baby girl. He leaves Rocafella for an Executive Office position at Island/Def Jam, signs Rhianna, and Rick Ross. He partners with the #1 Touring company Live Nation to start RocNation. He buys into the New Jersey Nets and then plays a part of relocating them to his home town of Brooklyn to become the Brooklyn Nets, then sells his minority shares in efforts to start his own Sports Agency to sign NY Yankee 2nd Baseman Robinson Cano, NY Giants Victor Cruz, NY Jets QB Geno Smith, WNBA Rookie Skylar Diggins and now Oklahoma Thunder superstar Kevin Durrant. Can you say Gooooooood Damnnnnnn!

In my opinion this is bigger than money, this is bigger than just Jay Z, this is big for being the first step in diminishing the sterotype of young Black Americans . Here you have Jay Z with no college background or degree in marketing making millions and showing corporate America that young brilliant black men understand Branding. From the beginning Hip-Hop has been responsible for setting new trends and starting brands we just called it Swag. Not understanding the fundamentals of basic corporate structure has hindered many young blacks as they found themselves signing over all creative control of their image and brand to a shirt and tie Harvard Business Graduate. No I'm not knocking an education but lets just look at the facts, Run-DMC was instrumental to the Adidas brand, LL to TROOP, Nas to Esco, Grand Puba to Tommy Hilfiger, LL to FUBU etc.

There is alot more I could get into but I am pressed for time, in closing I like to say congratulations to RocNation Sports and good luck in all your future as a major Sports Agency.
