May 6th, 2016 pt 2
A group of lawyers and administrators exchange emails on the topic of a fundraiser for the Democratic Lawyers Council. In order to widen their national presence, Karina begins, she hopes to organize a kick-off. She can’t, however, do it without the help of Clayton Cox and Max Marshall, whose quick, alliterative names sound surely fake. If they agree to help in her fundraising effort, she’ll get them “squared away”.
They and another lawyer or administrator, Jordan Vaughn, seek further assistance from Amy Dacey, who agrees with excitement. “I love this,” she sends from her iPhone, “Tell me how I can help.” Jordan Kaplan, who must have been blind copied all along, emails Jordan Vaughan in secrecy. “You are getting close to jumping the shark,” he warns.
