"You look like death."

Jeongguk waves a hand in the air. "I am Death."

Namjoon scoffs. "No, you're not. You're just a Reaper."

"Okay, but it's not like humans know the difference," Jeongguk whines, burrowing his head into Namjoon's side.

Namjoon pats him on the head, going back to his book as he does. "How was patrol?"

"As boring as ever. Yoongi made up a new game where we try to see who can stretch their Zampakutō the farthest. Taehyung wasn't happy about it."

Namjoon laughs. "Yeah, I'm sure he wasn't. Who would be happy about being used as a toy for a game between children?"

Jeongguk pouts. "You're barely older than me."

"I'm three years older than you, Gukk."

"Barely older!"

Namjoon sighs and leans back against the wall, gazing out at the scenery before them. "Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night."

"You help me sleep at night."

"Don't be such a sap."

"Can't help it. You make me feel all sappy," Jeongguk whines, trailing his nose along Namjoon's collarbone now.

Namjoon sets his book down and laughs. "What am I going to do with you?"

Jeongguk smiles and kisses the elder's throat. "I have plenty of ideas about what you could do to me."

"Hoseok has corrupted you," Namjoon murmurs, gulping nervously.

Jeongguk only smirks and moves to straddle the elder's lap. "I was corrupted to begin with, baby."

When they kiss, the witty comeback Namjoon had been about to reply with dies in his throat. Jeongguk kisses the elder softly and tenderly, bucking his hips the teeniest bit just to get a rise out of Namjoon.
