Me, at the informational interview today which ended up being awkward as hell because she informed me they filled the position already: Well, I'm the first lawyer in my family, so it's nice to have some guidance in that way- so thank you for meeting with me, even if I don't have options for hiring at your firm.

Girl: Well, I didn't really have THAT much guidance. None of my immediate family are lawyers.

Me: ...Oh? -politely, kill me now-

Her: Just my boyfriend, my cousin, my uncle, my brother-in-law, and my sister in law. My parents are doctors.

Me: (... Thanks I hate this conversation and your complete inability to grasp how privileged you are.)

Her: So I really haven't had any help or connections in life. -tone is sort of low-key mildly defensive-

Me: Wow. The privilege is now stunningly on display.

Her: Plus I never really had to get through the admissions process because I was hired in the first year.

Yes. That’s right there is some chapters that’s done. Final. Ending. But who knows maybe there will be another chapter that will open. Start and will continue until next time It was great to bring back the memories and feels again but also you will realize that all chapters must come to an end it was not so bad I just feel nostalgic.
