MegamixFun by JoeAdokÂ
Contemplating Mobius Megamix looks for various characters from various Sega games, particularly beat 'em ups in this case it looks like. We've got:
=== Joe Pencil: Sketch Turner's industry rival? Moebius counterpart? (Insert alternate relation of your choice here)?! === === K-Washi: Acquaintance of Mr. Y, and the DJ for the Y syndicate's music based, mind control scheme to take over Wood Oak City. === Commissioner: Commissioner of the WOPD. A hard ass who can kick ass pretty good. He's also pretty good at taking bribes too. === === Belial: The floating, hooded, scythe wielding penultimate boss of Team Inferno, and head of the Reapers gang. His presence is often marked by a red tint and the appearance of his eerily similar looking subordinates from underground. === Mikhail: Leader of Team Inferno and the one behind the large scale shake up among the gangs of Diesel Town. Join him or die, is his offer to you. === === Tankman: A big ol' goon, hired to take out meddlers. He likes football (the Soumercan kind with the handegg) too (Not important, but I thought you'd like to know.) === "White Fang" Hongo the Wolf: Leader of a terrorist/pirate group known for the clinical efficiency shown in incidents that specifically don't involve either Bruno Dillinger or the president's daughter. He's quite excitable when things go his way. === === Jocelyn: A gang boss who's deadly with a flail that she's named "Morning Star", which she wields with the grace of an Olympic hammer thrower. She enjoys bludgeoning quite a bit. === Tug: He's a big guy, and 'e's comin' through. === === Mr. Shakedown: His name tells you all you need to know about what he's about. Empty your pockets. === === Rorie: An amateur boxing croc. His roar is bigger than his punch, not that you want to get punched by him either. === Butazuna: A hardy pig Sumo. === === Dou Niu: The brutish leader of the dangerous Yellow Heads gang. Rules his turf while also trying to curry the favor of the man known as Lan Di. === (Be aware of stuff I made up because setting and/or some chars being less defined than others.)
AUGUST 2018 UPDATE www.arcadequartermaster.com
This month, three more beat-em-up shrines are live on the site. Since my connection and laptop are acting up while I’m still busy looking out for some of my old stuff, the shrines are more like mini-shrines because of minimal use of items to warrant separate Item pages.
TECMO KNIGHT: This medieval fantasy brawler follows two knights to lay siege on the fortress of the dark lord Wild Fang with the aid of mighty companions: the Smokeman, the Tiger and the Dragon. A solid title which captures some of the classic sword and sorcery with its gruesome intro and monster slaying effects that Tecmo has dabbled in with some of its late 80s titles.
KNUCKLE BASH: Toaplan’s sidescrolling beat-em-up follows three heroic wrestlers to dismantle the evil Mad Bulls wrestling organization. Use your signature wrestling and grappling moves to take down two major factions of the organization, recruiting two more former villains to your cause! Together, you must unite to battle the Mad Bull himself.
D.D.CREW: Sega’s obscure brawler takes the eponymous quartet to destroy the gangs under the employ of Zero Corp’s corrupt CEO. Each hero has his unique fighting style to take down numerous mobsters and gang leaders. While it has a cool soundtrack and okay controls, the game fell into obscurity, and it would have been greater if Sega made a Streets of Rage arcade version instead or even introduce D.D.Crew as a possible part of the SoR universe.Â
Enjoy the new shrines and don’t forget to follow the site’s twitter and instagram pages.
