She missed him, to put it simply. Weeks of barely talking, having passerby conversations in the hallway at school and the occasional text here or there left her aching to just hang out with him and get over this fight. She had gotten petty and insecure over Noah being happy, and she was ready to admit that she was wrong. Not to mention that Riley was actually really, really cool, and was going out of her way to not only befriend her, but also help her. It was because of Riley that Audrey now donned the vixen uniform, despite how much she protested at first. She actually really liked it.
Admitting that she was wrong was a big step for her. She had this thing with pride, where it was the hardest thing for her to swallow but the easiest thing to wear on her sleeve. And admitting she was wrong to Noah, the person she had wronged in the first place, that was just straight up hard. But that didn’t stop her from inviting him over, hoping that he’d forgive her and allow her to at least attempt to rekindle their friendship.
