There are a lot of contenders, but I think my all-time favourite is Frederick the Great.
There are a lot of things that make him intriguing - his tragic childhood (if you have time I recommend looking it up, if not then just take my word for the fact that he might have had one of the worst dads in history), his fangirling over deep enthusiasm for the French Culture and *certain* French philosophers, his attempts at writing poetry...
Also Baron von Steuben! If I had a coin for every queer 1700s Prussian whose life is tied to the military I'd have two coins, which isn't a lot, but...
Honorary mention to Chevalière d'Éon and other gender non-conforming people from history! It's always so interesting to read about their lives.
Do you know Le Chevaliere d'Eon, have you seen the 2006 anime Le Chevalier d'Eon who depict d'Eon as a man avenging his dead sister Lia, also FGO where d'Eon was featured, do you think it's transphobic to d'Eon?
Yep I know her! I saw the 2006 anime but not FGO so I will only talk about the first one. Honestly, there are so many wrong things (the fact that cis!d'Eon is literally posessed by his sister's soul, demon mobs being summoned, Robespierre being both a kid and an old wizard or something like that) in it that I don't even know if it can be considered transphobic or not. I mean ofc it's not respectful to d'Eon to write her as a cis guy but given how sick the story of the anime is, I see it more like a collateral dammage from her trans erasure in History than a decision from the writers of the anime. Historical characters are often a bit cursed in anime and I find it kinda fun. For me, the real transphobic thing is how she is not recognised enough as a woman, especially in French culture where she is considered as a "crossdressing" guy and doesn't have a good image; all that then leads to wrong representations.

THEY BUFFED D'EON WITH A BUSTED BUFF REMOVAL RESIST, HER SKILL IS A PARTY WIDE ENTIRELY TURN BUFF. I'm surprised they gave such a buff to dD'eon, honestly, but I'm glad their giving these older servants buffs!
I hope maybe they'll buff her np next. It's so outdated, maybe a defense up buff to leen into the taunt thing she has going on with her third skill oh and they could also give her a hp recovery up thing for her too or maybe hp recover per turn!
