Alfie had tried to tell everyone involved what an awful idea itâd be to have the two bands tour together. He tried to tell his publicist about what a love triangle that could create, or just that it would be uncomfortable in general. Still, no one listened. The managers all seemed to think it would make great money and at best, make some headlines as well. So there Al sat with a cigarette between his lips, nose deep in a book as he did his best to try and zone out his ex husband sitting just across the bus and cheering along with band mates. Though having Eli beside him was quite helpful, it didnât work perfectly. âWill you shut the hell up?â he yelled to his ex as he slammed the old paper book shut. âAlways shoutinâ and shite itâs like eleven in the morninâ.â He sighed and turned back to Eli, who he had been quietly conversing with between pages. âCâmon letâs go talk in the back. What were you saying?â he asked, as he stood and straightened out his shirt, patting his leg for Frankie to follow them. Alfie knew that Gerald probably had a feeling about he and Eli, but he refused to talk about what they had going on until Eli admitted it first. There was no sense in starting world war three if Eli didnât really want him.
