Technically, nothing’s ‘wrong’ with it— it’s not a problematic ship or anything, but I absolutely despise every interp of it I’ve seen because there isn’t a way for the ship to work without mischaracterizing the FUCK out of both Spamton AND Jevil

From dialogue in Spamton’s shop, we know that canonically, he isn’t all that fond of Jevil, seemingly jealous of his supposed greater success. I’m hesitant to say they hate each-other, but there’s at least a one-way distaste in play, which is especially bad here, because if you look at how Spamton talks about literally anyone in Cyber City, you can deduct that he’s not one to let go of grudges.

Past that, Spamton really doesn’t rub me as the kind of guy to care about romance. You could bring him a bouquet of roses and he’d eat the heads off in one bite before trying to sell you the stems. This ESPECIALLY applies to Jevil as well, I just couldn’t see him caring about romance at all, especially post-strange-someone where he views the world as a game. You couldn’t even reveal you had flowers for him because he’d kill you for fun before you even got close to him.

But literally every SpamVil interp has Spamton as this easily-flustered mess and Jevil as ‘the flirty one’ which is reducing the characters to tropes that don’t even fit them. It’s like the people who ship it haven’t even played deltarune.

12: What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!

Cirrus: DEFINITELY slapstick humor. Something about cartoon characters getting whacked around like a tennis ball is hilarious to him

Gleaden: Somewhat on the dirty side, but mostly clean. Would crack up at the word ‘balls’

Sola: NOBODY KNOWS AND THEY ARE SO UPSET ABOUT IT/lh. Sola definitely has a sense of humor but to everyone it just seems entirely random. Although he doesn’t find dirty humor funny

Glowi: Dad jokes. He gets this weird feeling of nostalgia when hearing them and Proto’s delivery of them is always done right.

33: How do they greet someone they dislike / hate?

Cirrus: it is RARE that he dislikes anyone— Dival and his crew are the only ones he can think of. He’d probably call them nasty, but anyone else he’d probably just avoid

Gleaden: Very monotone and matter-of-fact speech, which is GREATLY out of character for him. Ironically enough, you can tell he doesn’t like you if he DOESN’T tease/insult you. As for Dival’s crew, he usually lets Cirrus do the talking.

Sola: You would have NO IDEA if this little guy has any poor feelings towards you. No matter who he speaks to, he makes sure to be friendly and polite.

Glowi: Silence. He probably wouldn’t even make eye contact with them. You can tell he’s thinking about a LOT, but isn’t confident enough to say anything.

34: How do they greet someone they like / love?

Cirrus: Hugs! His soft sweater enhances the feeling too!! He also jumps up and down and flaps his arms and and and!! He’s very expressive about his excitement.

Gleaden: Some kinda cheesy/jokey nickname that varies between his friends. If he knows they aren’t comfortable with that, it’s usually just a ‘hey’ or ‘sup’.

Sola: A polite and enthusiastic greeting! He’ll ask how your day is going and listen to what you have to say!

Glowi: his antennae will perk up before he even turns around. He’ll say hello to you, but not much else unless you continue talking to him.

41: What phrases, pronunciations, or mannerisms did they pick up from someone / somewhere else?

Cirrus: While maybe having picked up one or two behaviors from his dad growing up, Cirrus is a very own-tempo’d person who does a lot just because he thought it felt right! It’s usually others unintentionally picking up his mannerisms.

Gleaden: Carrying Ringmaster around all the time has made Gleaden very familiar with lifting weirdly shaped heavy objects. Because of this, he will GREATLY overestimate the weight of other objects he picks up and will accidentally fling different objects he picks up.

These are the Wayfarers!! They’re a bunch of silly guys that hunt treasure together :]

This is Glowi! He’s an Alien that crash-landed on the planet I’ve yet to name and lost his memory. Most people mistake him for a moth and so he just kinda. Goes with it. Cirrus was the one that named him :]

Glowi, being from another planet, does not have magic, although he’s not much of a fighter anyways, so he doesn’t really mind.

Cirrus is a 13-ish year old kid that’s an absolute beacon of sunshine! He wants to get better at magic but mostly he’s just here to have fun :] He had the idea of hunting treasure

Cirrus uses Healing magic!! He’s not the best at it just yet but he can heal cuts and bruises pretty easily :]

Sola and Gleaden are performers at a circus (that I haven’t made yet hdksgska) with a pretty shitty boss, but these two manage to keep in high spirits! Sola is pretty secluded, but is polite when he needs to talk to people! He’s fairly acrobatic and is usually napping if he’s not bouncing around the room like a ping pong ball

Sola is pretty good with magic! He uses both Fire and Wind and is hoping to one day become a skilled mage.

Deltarune: REROLLED! is a Deltarune Swap AU where the characters change positions, but retain the personality and theming of the original character. The plot will play out mostly the same, but slight changes will be made based on how different characters react to different things.

Jumble and Shamton are the most fleshed out characters, but the current swap list is as follows:
