Their description/design:Crystals growing out of skin (literally any type of crystal )

What I have drawn /description:

I think the crystal creature is sentient (🧐) but,it can be any crystal and it’s basically a viral infection that latches on to creatures and spreads and can go to any living being , and based on the creator choice : it can cause extremely painful like bone cancer but really is like CALCINOSIS CUTIS/ it’s like a simple crystals on the skin and all you have to do is and rub it to stop it from spreading 🤷
