Mavrokolympos River... This is actually the dam they built on it! It's a fairly small dam and usually overflows fairly quickly. The water is used for the agricultural land of chlorakaand kissonerga. It was built in 1966 and is a great spot for bird watching. This little stretch of beach near paphos Airport has lots of lovely things to see. This is where we caught our octopus. There is foraging to be had and there are loads of beautiful and endangered plant species and signs explaining about them. Lots of butterflies too!!
