I remember sitting down with my sister and thinking up nicknames for some Sumeru boys and Tighnari's were the best because with Al-Haitham I was looking for something that didn't sound like garlic.
Tighnari:
👑 Gharagheero (this one was sister approved) Ghanghoona (this was me forgetting the original nickname) to anyone who wants to make modifications: Ghara is one letter away from being reminiscent of either gurgling (gharghar) or sh*t (khara) Gheero: could work??? sounds close to the word for jealous tho? Ghan: sounds weird by itself Ghoona: also sounds weird by itself.
Al-Haitham
👑 Thamtham (and I know some of my readers know about this one 😉) The nick name lies in the repetition. If you don't repeat and just go "Tham", it's going to sound like an actual word with an actual meaning. I can offer you Thammouna if you wanna treat him like a child to be annoying. Or you could think about it as thaman = value, so you're also alluding to him having value to you. oh and super important: Al- = the He's The Haitham or The Baby Hawk. So nicknaming Al-Haitham "Al" is very strange to anyone who knows what that "Al-" means. Al-Haitham speaks enough languages to know what his name means, so if you wanna call him "Al", I leave you at his mercy. To anyone who was curious, the nickname that sounds like garlic is Haithoumi thoum = garlic, and I don't want this association even if I like garlic. Because if he smells like garlic...well...he could smell nicer don'cha think?
Kaveh
Kavakeevo Emkavkev (this one feels less noun and more adjective like) Seriously though I'd say Kaveh who is Emkavkev and he'd be confused. But if I said it to someone else, "y'know that guy, the one's that's Emkavkev" and if they know Kaveh they'd probably realize I'm referring to him. Kaveh is Persian though...they might have their own nickname giving patterns...
Cyno
Sansoona San with a super short "a" sound almost like like sn, means to hone (specifically blades), so it wouldn't be used as a nickname His is not an easy name to generate nicknames for if you call him "nunu" some dialects use that to refer to toilets when talking to little children...so don't. as a joke I came up with Saraseero. sarsoor = cockroach saraseer = cockroaches so no I will not be using that with the General Mahamatra
Happy Birthday
