Kinda creeped out, you rise to your tip toes and cautiously peer through the peep hole.

There you make out the figure of Joe who's pacing head down, mumbling to himself with his hands gesturing as if he's rehearsing something.

Hoping he's okay, you quickly undo the chain and open the door. Joe startles and looks at you like a deer in the headlights.

You ask him what's wrong and he blurts out: "I was talking to Carisi the other day and he got me thinking about us. The only conclusion I keep coming back to is..." His deep brown eyes catch yours. "I love you."

Fucking hell Tiffany, yesss!!

You search his face for any trace of a lie, but find none. In the silence that follows his confession, he swallows hard, trying to not lose his conviction.

Since you're such a CSI pro, I was wondering if you'd know how many CSI (original Vegas) cases have gone unsolved.

Sqweegle is the obvious (and creepiest) one I can think of, but am blanking on if there were more?

thank you for your kind words! i'm so glad you enjoy my posts.

honestly, i don't know how many cases in total go completely unsolved on csi, except to say (in general) "not very many."

aside from the sqweegle case, the only ones i can think of that even vaguely fit the bill are the case from episode 02x11 "organ grinder," where the csis know that one of the two female suspects killed the husband while the other one was an accomplice but can't prove with certainty which woman played what role and so cannot induce the da to file charges, and episode 04x18 "bad to the bone," where, though they technically solve the cases-of-the-day, they a) don't really figure out what the killer's whole deal is, and, b) uncover evidence to suggest that he may have killed before, though they have no real leads as to who his previous victims may have been.

then there are, of course, a few cases that are unprosecutable even though the csis technically know "whodunnit" (like episode 03x20 "last laugh" or 04x12 "butterflied") or where they get things wrong (like episode 06x18 "the unusual suspect").

admittedly, i am not as brushed up on the cases of the later seasons after grissom leaves, so i'm not sure if there are any unsolved cases from that era aside from the sqweegle case.

Ooooh, this one is hard. I’m very lucky to have a lot of really sweet gift-givers in my life. I’m going to go with a ticket to see John Waters’ Christmas show, though.
