I think its cool.

i based it off some sour candys and jaw breakers but its not very noticeable. He has a very simple design in the movie and i wanted to keep it simple. It’s like his whole thing. Simple, monotone, and sour.

For most of Japanese history, most if not all houses are made of wood.

As such, I headcanon that it wasn't until recently that Japan discovered cybugs as they started building skyscrapers.

As such, similar to Australia having flora and fauna exclusive to it, Japan has cybugs that are not found elsewhere.

Like the Convoy subspecies of Truck Cybugs and the Bullet Train cybugs.

also while i think itd be really funny if japan only recently discovered cybugs (or perhaps the Prevalence of them) i mean. they did have other metal things before they had skyscrapers. like. thats very much a thing that they had. but i could imagine thats partially how they come more into public perception!
