So I know the whole “Matt is the dude/warrior in blue” thing is pretty popular and I agree that it would be really awesome, but part of me is like, “what if that is Matt, but he’s now something along the lines of a cyborg?”

We can assume that the druids enjoy experimenting based on what they did to Shiro and Sendak, so what if instead of sending Matt to the work camp, the druids used him almost as a guinea pig, using what they learned about human biology from Matt to give Shiro his prosthetic arm.

After finishing up their experimenting with Matt, maybe they decided to give him robotic limbs like Shiro’s, to see if maybe now he could be useful either in the arena or on the battlefield. And since he was at least one-half machine, they expected him to obey orders like a machine would. But no- Matt escapes the second he can and begins searching for his dad and Shiro.
