The Celestial Toyshop: The Second Doctor vs. The Toymaker
I just discovered the Action Figure Theatre webpage and I'm tickled.
Plot: The Celestial Toymaker is tired and bored--a recap of his collision with Hartnell's Doctor, but he sees the Doctor as his best solution to alleviate his boredom. To that end he traps the Doctor, Jamie and Zoe in his Toyshop and gives the Doctor a chance to rescue the humans.
The catch: For the Doctor to rescue them he has to accept half of the Toymaker's Celestial power. The Toymaker's ultimate trap is elegantly simple: No one can resist ultimate power. He calculates that the longer the Doctor experiences the Universe as a Celestial, the less he will be able to resist. And then the Toymaker will have his eternal playmate.
(At first I was nervous about accidental fan collision with my TRAP OF THE TOYMAKER, but now I'm relieved as they were heading in a different direction).
