CAN WE HANG OUT SOMETIME JUST DROPPED I WOKE UP EARLY TO LISTEN TO IT THOUGHTS BELOW
THEYRE ALL 10/10S WHAT DID YOU EXPECT
coffee is a little less energetic than cicada i think but it still works really well, i love the lyrics and the solo is pretty solid. i love the drums too
tea leaves is mellow which i think gk pulls off really well, i wished they did it more and this is exactly what i wanted. makes me happy to listen to the solo on this one its so vibey
alone with me reminds me of wall with the little gaps in the instrumental at the beginning. also very vibey, it feels faintly echoey which is interesting. upon first listen i feel like it's not as good as the others but i think itll grow on me, it's still pretty good
ghost keeper is one ive been waiting for for a long time, i loved phone speaker a ton and this is definitely a good development on that. not quite sure if i like the new lyrics better, but again the more mellow songs are some of my favorites for some reason. also part of me wishes david still sung on this one. idk why i just feel like his voice fits it better.
tornado is NOT turpin. so it's a 0/10 /j the quiet intro right into the loud middle part is insane i love it a lot. idk why but the melody of the lyrics does kinda remind me of ground a little. it's really good, i think this might be one of my favorites of the new ones
ginger lemonade is super vibey, i like the bass and drums on it. the lyrics are pretty cool, i love the melody on the chorus. idk why the specific "nothings gonna change, ginger lemonade until we-" part feels nostalgic? reminds me of stuff i listened to growing up but i can't put a finger on what band. also the name of the album is said like 7 times lmfao
anyways that's all. rift, wall, and cicada are also all 10s (actually rift is an 11). eastside is a 6 im not even kidding they fumbled so hard on that one.
