I had an idea for a prompt: water whump! Whumpee is either waterboarded, dunked in water, forced to sit in ice water, burned with boiling water, or even just forced to drink saltwater. There's a lot to do with water that I don't see often used in whump writing! Even better if it makes whumpee develop a fear of it after they're rescued :)
Water boarded with a hose. It’s shoved into their mouth, metal ripping the soft muscle of the tongue, until they’re breathing water. It’s rushing out of every opening it can, and it’s far from painless
A controlling whumper who regularly gives whumpee baths in freezing cold water after a torture session. It’s humiliating, clothes sometimes sticking to their skin with blood, and stings when whumper rips them off. Shivering, teeth chattering, begging for it to stop but unable to form the words— their lips are turning blue
“Stand still” and now it’s boiling water on their hand. Scalding, furious, blistering. This is immediate— reflexively drawing inwards— but whumper will strap them down if they struggle and then it gets everywhere. Second degree burns take forever to heal, and they scar. Badly.
After a flogging, cleaning out the lacerations with salt water. Whumpee screams until they’re gagged. Somehow, this is worse than the actual beating, lingering in the cuts, burning and acidic.
For a laugh, whumper only gives them salt water. Dehydration sets in much faster than they anticipated and whumpees head is constantly spinning, blacking out if they stand up too fast. If whumper wants an extra kick, they force them to drink it off the floor, locking it up along with the dirt and sweat and blood and whumpee is so desperate— or conditioned— that they do
After being waterboarded multiple times during their captivity, whumpee develops a horrible fear of water after captivity. There’s no physical scars of what happened but their teammates look at them curiously when they avoid the lake, the pool, open bodies of water. They don’t like drinking from too large glasses anymore.
During their capture, whumpees water supply was laced with drugs that kept them sedated. Pliable. The team didn’t realize that until post rescue when whumpee refused anything they offered. This leads to one of them pinning whumpee down and forcing them to drink something with electrolytes. “Please! Please no, I’ll be good!”
