“C’mon, Cas, don’t you trust me?” Dean extends his hand, palm up, waiting for Castiel to take it. To trust him. And Castiel wonders why Dean would even consider otherwise, because Castiel places all the remaining faith he has in the universe in this man.

He knows it’s silly, because he used to fly once, but Castiel is terrified of heights. The Ferris wheel at the Kansas State Fair may be one of the most alarming contraptions that Castiel has ever laid eyes on. It’s rusty and old, towering over the fairgrounds.

“I trust you,” Castiel confirms quietly, placing his hand in Dean’s and allowing himself to be pulled into one of the two-person seats. A worker comes by to secure the bar over their legs, and Castiel realizes that there is no turning back now. “If I die on this ride, my blood will be on your hands.”

Dean laughs and rests an arm over Castiel’s shoulders, “I’m willing to accept that responsibility.”

Keeping his eyes on Dean, he squeezes Dean’s hand until it turns red. At the top, Dean’s face lights up brighter than any merry-go-round or constellation on a hot summer night. Castiel never looks down, because there isn’t a single view that could surpass the one beside him.

9. Which character(s) do you find most difficult to write?

As I said in a previous question, I’m finding it tricky to write TK and Carlos atm. Mostly Carlos because we’ve seen the least of him in season 1 (which I hope is something that changes in season 2..) 

As for Supernatural characters, I feel like I’ve got them down now but sometimes I find it tricky to write some of them without falling into the stereotypes that some fic writers over the years have created (no shade to fellow writers). The most difficult part is getting to grips with the way different characters speak more than how they actually act. 

12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.

Okay so I have a few but they’re all short things. The main one I’m excited about is one I have planned out but not actually started yet. It’s a multi-chapter based on one of my fave movies Shelter (2007) which I can sum up in only two words: surfer gays. It has a lot of themes that are similar to Supernatural so I thought that would be cool to do. Who knows if it’ll actually come to fruition or not!
