Ahh okay. Well I think I didn’t understand the relapsing into old habits part. Maybe you mean like embracing of sin and rejection of God? But I went through a period of experiencing this too, so does it define my salvation? I guess?
I can't tell that for you, only God can.
But if you are asking on my take on it. I say that if you have to question it, then the answer is no, it does not affect your salvation.You would know if it affected your salvation because the Law of the Lord is written in your heart. There's no need to worry :] Just continue to build your faith, and don't look back again.
That's what I've been saying. I see so many Christians question whether they have committed the unforgivable sin, yet I don't think they have. Once you are born again, the Law of the Lord is written in your heart. There would be no need for you to question. I mean that seriously. Sin angers you now. You hate temptation so much. That is why we are no longer allowed to deliberately sin because the Truth is written within us.
When I say that some people don't seem to be born again because they don't seem to be angered by sin or temptation, I'm not saying that to belittle anyone. I'm only concerned for their salvation. Until a person is truly born again, s/he will not enter the kingdom of Heaven.
